I was contemplating what wealth really is to me. It's many things to many people.

It's the wealth of love that surrounds me daily, especially by my Heavenly Father and His precious son.

It's the wealth of having my own home-even though it has many flaws and is not, particularly, beautiful.

It's having the beauty, I enjoy, all around me, inside and out. Artificial roses, gifts from my husband for our anniversaries, Valentine's Day, and my birthdays adorn our entertainment center and other areas of our home. Having books that enrich my mind and make me think and laugh.

It's knowing who I am and being happy with that-satisfied in the knowledge I wouldn't have it any other way.

It's having a companion cat, Blue Grand Anderson, who follows me wherever I go, sleeps with me, and sits beside me, offering his stomach for his rubs.

It's my wisdom being cherished by my friends and those whom I love.

It's giving whenever and wherever I can when I can.

It's being happy with what I have because, for me, it's always enough.

It's having everything I need, including my favorite bed, my office with everything I want in it, especially this monitor and computer I'm using to relay this message.

It's having peace and quiet, especially throughout the night.

It's having nice chocolates and being surprised with gifts of it from Don and friends.

It's having plenty of food and being able to eat whatever I want whenever I want.

It's having fun spending time with friends.

It's that special call from my daughter, and when she tells, at the end of it, every time, she loves me and gives me a kiss. We say this to each other every conversation. She lives in NC and I in MN.

It's not needing anything at this very time-all my needs are met.

It's being able to walk into my kitchen, pour myself a cup of my favorite coffee, then walk into my living room, sit in my favorite recliner and watch my favorite programs.

It's designing my art works.

It's writing to bless others and to bring out what is from within my deepest self-to share with others what is within me-such as this. But it is also to teach myself about myself-about who I really have been, who I am, and who I will be.

Wealth is in the mind of the beholder. You might say it's in the heart of the beholder too.

Wealth, to me, is not necessarily a lot of money, although most people seem to think it is. It isn't having fancy cars or expensive clothes or a big house with a pool. To some, those are necessities, but to me, they are nice but not my desire. It's all the above. Wealth is in the mind of the beholder.

Blessings,
Clairetta

Hi Clairetta

A lovely post.

When you think about it, you have described HAPPINESS, that shows you how true wealth and happiness are always interlinked.

Many people do not fully understand true wealth.

Thank you for your observations.

croz, you're right. Happiness is interlinked with wealth, but it is upon condition. Joy, on the other hand, is unconditional. It is something that is deep within us and inexplainable. It is a gift given to us by our Father.

Julia, ditto on the awesome. Thank you. You have warmed the cockles of my heart. I feel like I know you because of the beautiful way you have shared your life, your gifts and talents. I've watched how you have blossomed in the short time we have been here.

Karin, what a great description, especially for those who are just learning what the more abundant life is all about. You're sharing this will help many who come here for answers.

Junoelle, thank you for sharing yours as well. Although I don't know you very well yet, I'm sure you have a lot to offer.

Blessings,
Clairetta

Very nice post Clairetta. As I read it I thought "she is one of the wealthiest people I know" because I agree that it is in the eye of the beholder.

Hi Clairetta,

I agree with you! I had mentioned in another post that my first A-Ha moment in SOGR was that I was already Rich! And I was spenting too much time wishing for more luxuries rather than being grateful for what I had!

Looking back over my life I realize how happy I had been in much more humble homes than I have now - being around people that I love, doing things that don't cost anything are priceless!

Thanks for posting this!

Be good to yourself, live life passionately and always, always expect success!! I don't know how long I will live, but I'll live until I die!!
