Well, I put it out there and I got it overnight! Up 'til now I've been referring to myself as a 'Self-help junkie'. Of course, this image was not and IS NOT congruent and consistent with what I want. So I tapped into my mastermind group for a better name.

Now it's a toss-up between 'Self-help protégé' and 'Self-help master'.

I'm leaning towards protégé for a couple of reasons:

1. I drive a Mazda Protégé - so it's easy for me to imagine being in control of my life; in the driver's seat, so to speak.

2. Protégé refers to someone who is in the process of learning and growing, which I am. And while it might be nice to be a 'Master', I know I will never get 'There'.

WHY?

Because there is no 'There'! I know when I get 'there', there will always be more!

So, I am now officially a Self-help Protégé! And that's quite a step up from 'junkie' now, isn't it?

I use to buy, beg and steal Get Rich tapes, audio and the whole junk. Then I learn one important secret. These guys were making their million from me.

And much of it was the same. And the biggest secret was know by the 1% of the very rich and as long ago as The Babylons. That is way I named it "The Secret Of The Babylons. I told my student about it. I wrote about it in the my FREe ezine. I tell people on the net in posts.

I cannot give details in a post but I can the world it is steams of income. Write one book or do what Rebecca and Peter WoodHead did. use Public Domain books.

You only need one then you can create steams, you can give seminar on it. Do special reports on it, audios and videos. You only need one or two books written or public domain.

Joe2005 - Thank you for your participation. This forum is really for those who are concentrating on their study of SOGR. I am really trying to get through the course and reading and I am truly struggling to do this. Seeing your posts are really discouraging when I am doing my best to try and study SOGR. Very distracting. I can appreciate your desire to learn and your creativity but I wish you would stay on the SOGR track?

I am trying to help. And the SOGR is great to start with. And following it can help. But I was trying to get you thinking with the book and beyond to make the real change in your life.

Sorry. I just started out as a junkie like you but learn what I told you.

The change in life is the change of our belief system. This is what SOGR helps with so well.

His example of the form less to reality is greater than great. Reread that

All things start with formless. The computer was a thought. Now look at it.

I hope I helped.

There is no way to realize your dreams without hard work.
Dream + Hard work + Time = computers, cars, airplanes, electricity, television, radio, telephone...
You can not get something for nothing.

JoeT- don’t apologize. I understand what you meant now. This can be considered to follow after SOGR. I would like to read the ezine that you offer after I have completed the course.

I think I get caught up in the term "junkie" and it seems like a negative term.. It reminds me of someone who is abusing something or substance. Personally, I wouldn't consider myself a "junkie" as this is the only course I have taken of this kind and it is not junk for your mind. It is a new way of thinking.

Guest you are absolutely correct. SOGR only gives us the spiritual tools to help us work towards our goals. Noticed I used the term "work" because you really have to. In the reading it does say that you have to work to get what you want and it is not by magic that new successes appear. SOGR gets you in the proper way of thinking so you can take control of all your successes. Without work you couldn’t reach your goals and desires.

Much abundance to you all!

I also prefer the word "protege" rather than "junkie."

Guest & BigM

I, prefer the word "action" rather than "work." Just a matter of semantics, for me. By taking action on our vision, we put ourselves "into the flow" of abundance. We open ourselves up and do not have to "MAKE things happen." No forcing, stressing, or trying to guide or supervise the Formless.

Just my humble opinion,
Tom

Much abundance to all,
TOM

ACTION I LOVE this word!!! Thank you Tom for reminding me to be grateful for the opportunity to use action to put me in the flow.

Caroline and BigM,
You're welcome. I'm grateful that I was able to perhaps shed a little light on the subject.

Guest,
Thank you for your input. I choose and prefer to create, rather than compete. I love the saying......"work smart, not hard." It's similar to "desiring" something rather than "wanting" something. Just some semantics that I use to help me change my "old habitual thinking."

Much abundance to you all,
Tom

Your so right about work. You probably should have a plan to do the work, to achieve the goal. You to have a definite plan and passion. I think Wattle saids this indirectly.

I am not taking Rebecca's wonder course. I know it is great just from the first lesson. It will take my the week end to complete.

That's good guest. I would just change it a bit by removing obsession only because if you desire something it shouldn't be an obsession because it is a strong desire??

Idea + Desire + 1% of Talent + Time and Patience + Efficient Action + Working hard + Working smart = computers (gratitude), cars (gratitude), airplanes (gratitude), electricity (gratitude), television (gratitude), radio(gratitude), telephone(gratitude), gramophone(gratitude), cd (gratitude), dvd (gratitude), Microsoft (you have to be grateful to Bill)...

Short definition:

Scientific = Verifiable by experimentation.

Reproducable anywhere and at any time given that you undertake the same steps and under the same conditions.

The experiment which Mr. Wattles tells us to undertake is to prove that "anyone who thinks and acts in a certain way will definitely get rich."
