And let's not forget how many music stars have gotten millions and blown it all in a matter of years, ending up penniless.
This idea suggests the Universe desires to give us bad (i.e. bills, eviction notices, sickness), and very easily and without merit I might add, more than good, which we have to prove ourselves worthy of. I htink this has more to do with the person creating their wealth feeling whether they are deserving or not. If not, then the person has to prove themselves to themselves, but the Universe is just waiting for that person to ask and believe. _______ Follow your bliss! |

Annivet: I've had that experience and I had to tell myself to slow down and think about how i felt when I took the 'inspired action'. Found out it wasn't really 'inspired' action, it was only me thinking I hasd to 'make something happen' to get my cmi. Now I know to always check how I'm feeling when thinking about taking an action. If there's any anxiety/doubt, etc, any feeling of 'having' to take action, i know it's not inspired! |

Bob Proctor teaches 3 things absolutely needed to attract what you want: 1. Desire it strongly 2. Believe you will have it 3. Expect it to happen In the Expectancy lies the belief thst you are derving of it. Megan |

Megan, If that's what Bob Proctor teaches, I think I have some proof that he's mistaken. You might benefit by reading my post explaining why EXPECTATION may not be necessary. No EXPECTATION Needed? Phil "The Universe is responding to how we feel." Esther Hicks |

My guess is a person who doesn't feel deserving will probably miss on 2 and 3. _______ Follow your bliss! |

Well, this piques my interest because there's a fairly well-known story in the "personal growth" area about how a woman was watching a butterfly emerging from its chrysalis and because it was taking so long, she decided to end its "struggle" and help it along by snipping away the chrysalis with scissors. The author of the story went on to say that by doing that she had deprived the butterfly of the important "struggle" necessary for it to strengthen its wings and so it would die. This seems to be another version of that same conventional "wisdom" that we've all heard for so long and accepted as wise and true. But for a while now I've been wondering about it because I've learned so much these past few years about how struggle is totally UNnecessary, and, in fact, is a waste of our time and energy. It doesn't strengthen us; it just wears us out! So consider: You're watching the butterfly emerge or the little chick or whatever. And you think: oh, you poor little thing, struggling like that. Well, how do you know that's what's happening? Is effort being expended? Sure. But how could you POSSIBLY know whether or not it's a "struggle?" Struggle is an attitude. Two weeks ago I spent five and a half days sanding, scraping, hanging upside down over the rail of my boat, getting bruises all over from that, getting sunburned. People watching came by and commented on how "hard" I was working. I'm sure to some it looked like I was even struggling. But I was loving every minute of it! I could have hired people to refinish all the teak on my boat. But I wanted to do it myself. I wanted the experience. I wanted to take care of this little boat that already takes such good care of me. Maybe the chick or the butterfly is feeling the same way. Maybe -- if they "think" in any way like we do -- they're pushing and wriggling and it looks like "hard work," but all the time, they're thinking: OH BOY! I'M ALMOST OUT! I can hardly wait to get out there into the world and see what it's like. Woohoo! And maybe, sometimes when we do things for other people (especially youngsters) that they are actually capable of doing for themselves because we want to protect them or make things easier for them (or maybe just for us!), the problem is not that we deprive them of any "necessary" struggle, but that we deprive them simply of the EXPERIENCE that would help them see more clearly what they do and do not want more of in their lives. And maybe sometimes we even deprive them of the joy and delight of the doing of the thing simply by ASSUMING that they need our help. Just some stuff to consider. I personally love it when things I've heard all my life and never questioned suddenly show up in a totally new light and I see totally new meaning in them. Love & blessings, and, of course-- EXPECT Success! Rebecca |

Attitude and perception are two things that we can only understand for ourselves not for anyone else. It is important to remember that what is drudgery to one is thorough enjoyment to another. The world is so much better because we enjoy different things. Have a fun day. Joan Anderson GenuineRealisticAttitudeTowarIndividualTruthsUnderstandingDailyEvents http://iowandelights.com |

Yes, yes, yes, Teruchan, That feels absolutely right! The universe wants us to have all that we are capable of enjoying. Wally says, "everything that lives has an inalienable right to all the development it is capable of attaining." and, "The desire for riches is really the desire for a richer, fuller, and more abundant life and that desire is praiseworthy." I'm sure that all limitations are self imposed. Ever plan to do things "incrementally" because it's more "practical"? I know I do it all the time. What if sometimes, faster is easier? What if sometimes the jigsaw puzzle is already complete, waiting to be delivered, yet we insist on having it shipped one bit at a time, then complain that the bits aren't coming fast enough, or in the right order? I wonder if that might apply to your animation dreams. It's clear that you have a very strong CMI and lots of inspired action, yet you seem to think that you have to wait for something. You feel completely uninspired by your current business, yet resist giving your time completely over to what you really want. Are the obstacles real, or self imposed? Of course, I don't know all the details of your situation, but I do wonder. I wonder the same thing about Annie's situation. She seems to put up with a lot of stress and unhappiness out of a sense of responsibility to other people. (Very common with moms.) I wonder what would happen if she just did what she wanted in spite of everyone else? Well, I guess that's enough meddling into other peoples lives. I'm going to explore my own self imposed limitations! TTFN! (Ta-ta for now!) Rachel |

Thanks for changing the perspective on that Rebecca. I used the word struggle, but I was really thinking challenge. But I like experience even better. It just goes to show how perception really colors everything. I have no doubt the little critters thoughts might be, just as you said. I've seen this in my own children. When they were learning to walk, and they fell down unexpectedly. Sometimes, they look straight at you almost with an expectation. It's usually a a look of surprise. If my response was more negative, oh, no! Are you all right? Did you hurt yourself? They'd burst right into tears. But, if my response, was a laugh, and a funny word like boom! You fell down. Then they would laugh, and off they would go again. Oh, and some of the times I feel the absolute best, is when I've had a day really "working" hard and enjoying it, and collapsing into bed exhausted. And then enjoying sleep. I am so going to remember this one. |

That's interesting in light of what we learn from Mr. Wattles (and others) about energy. If, as is suggested, we are ultimately formless (eternal beings) and can be viewed, under an intense microscope for example, as energy, then when we look at different forms of energy (i.e. radio waves) we see that they/we are different but the same. Specifically, I'm thinking in terms of variable radio frequencies. Similar energy, but is 1410 KHZ on your radio dial really working harder than 560 KHZ? No, they are just different frequencies in the same space, thus different energy. So, I think you are right to question whether one form of energy is really exerting more effort than another. It's really a matter of our perspective. I even think Mr. Wattles would question why we are looking at something (appearance) and calling it ("struggle" to use your example) truth. As when you are working on your boat, I can say that when I am on the golf course (usually walking), I am expending far less energy than when I am sitting in a customer's office trying to secure a purchase order.
