Thanks for the insight Phil. My CMI consists of me visualizing having the wealthy lifestyle moreso than seeing myself in my business. I can see the nice house I want and moving around in the house. I see myself driving the car I want and I see money coming to me in abundance. Because I don't know what kind of business I want to have, I'm having trouble visualizing what business activities I see myself doing. I know I would like to start with a home based business, but it doesn't neccesarily need to stay a home business. I figured I wouldn't focus on the business aspect too much because I need to focus on what I want my end result to be, which is being financially wealthy and free from not working for anyone, and all the lifestyle perks that it comes with.
I have realized that in the meantime there are things I personally need to fix about myself because in order to become wealthy and maintain my wealth, I need to have certain traits (I need to stop being a procrastinator at times and also become better organized, amoungst other things). You mentioning that I may need to work on myself really rang a bell for me. Also, I haven't been really focusing on what I would be doing every second of the day as if my CMI was realized. I seem to just have a good image of myself in the nice house, moving around in the house, and driving the nice cars. I should work on constantly being and feeling like I'm in my CMI. Thanks again for the insight Phil. Any further tips would be appreciated. |

Starbwoy,
Here are some more tips/thoughts on creating the Ideal Life You Want. It seems to me, many of the wealthy people I’ve studied have multiple PASSIVE income streams. Many have multiple businesses that produce passive income streams. I believe, if you aren’t already quite familiar with the concept of passive income streams, I suggest you familiarize yourself with the concept. For example, let’s say you start an online business. Did you know that some people who do business successfully online don’t know how to build or maintain a website? How then, do they come to have successful online businesses? They figured out how to successfully partner with people who have the skills and knowledge needed,… and STILL make a good profit from their online business venture. Then, many go on to duplicate this process. Thus, they create multiple streams of passive income. And,.. their time involvement in each is minimal. There is at least one example of a man who only works an average of 4 hours a week in a business that earns him enough to allow him to travel all over the world. (Search ‘The 4 Hour Work Week’ book and website, for more info on him and his book.) I recently read where Mark Victor Hansen (co-author of the Chicken Soup For The Soul, 100+ million selling book series) created an endorsement deal. Him and Jack Canfield (the other ‘Chicken Soup’ author) signed an endorsement deal. The deal took less than an hour to put together. It gave them 15% (7.5% each) of the sales of a product monthly, just for allowing their names to be a part of the marketing. What is their take? They usually get $15K a month each, and the deal is open-ended. It could go on for years. Passive income. So, imagine how you’d feel if you somehow managed to gain the clout and wherewithal to set up one or more of these kinds of deals? (Remember: Getting into the feeling of already having what you want, aligns and harmonizes you to it, which ‘allows’ the Universe to deliver everything needed, in easy, effortless ways.) By the way, I once asked a very wealthy man about being rich. To make a long story short, he said to me, “Money is the easiest thing in the world.” Now, at the time I thought he was having fun with me, not really revealing anything about what it takes to make a great deal of money. But later, as I thought about it, it occurred to me that he has the MINDSET (set of beliefs) that make ‘money the easiest thing in the world’ for him. So, I also suggest you ask yourself: How would you feel, and what would you need to believe, if you believed ‘money is the easiest thing in the world’? Then, find and feel the feeling. And do your best to embody that feeling, on a day to day basis. "Feeling is the secret." Neville Goddard Now, I want to also say, I believe that when you said you imagine yourself having the beautiful house you want, and the plenty of money you want, etc., you are doing some of what it takes to create it. But there are, in my opinion, subtleties, nuances, etc., that can be learned, to ‘speed up’ the process. Consider also: As I’ve been studying the wealthy – mostly the wealthy that have somehow consciously incorporated metaphysics (e.g., Jack Canfield, Mark V Hansen, John Assaraf, Wayne Dyer, Oprah Winfrey, Marc Allen, Joe Vitale, Jerry & Esther Hicks, and even SOGR site’s Rebecca Fine) one thing they all seem to do is, they all seem to STILL study life and metaphysics and spirituality. Also note: On the other hand, there are those who did not study, at least not like many, that achieved success, etc. For example, Lester Levinson, who is the inspiration behind, or founder of ‘The Sedona Method’ and ‘The Release Technique’ said he studied everything but did not find the answers he was after. It was only after he went within and started to inquire and examine everything about his own experience, did he reach profound conclusions that enabled him to regain his health (after being diagnosed terminally ill) and also go on to achieve financial wealth, independence and freedom, and abundance and fulfillment in every part of his life. There are others that seem like him, Eckhart Tolle and Byron Katie, for example, did not study their way to their greatness. (Their bios are freely available on the Internet.) So, keep an open, inquisitive mind about all this. As the Bible seems to imply, the answers are within each and all of us, if we can somehow attune to them. (“The kingdom of heaven is within.”) Study often helps, but it can also hinder. You don’t want to be just a studier of the principles, someone who just studies principles. You want to be someone who applies and tests principles to see if you can make them work. E.g., knowing the recipe for baking a cake is not the same as baking a cake. As you can see, this can go on and on. Hopefully I’m giving you small enough ‘bites’ to incorporate, but that also make a positive difference. Also, Starbwoy, let me mention this: I wouldn't say 'fix' yourself, as much as 'build on' or 'discover more of'. From what I understand, each of us already has Divine Unlimited Potential. So, we don't need to be 'fixed' as much as we need to rid ourselves of the limiting beliefs we've picked up that imply we're 'broken' or 'not enough' or 'inadequate.' Get my drift? "I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High." ' Psalm 82:6 “Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” Luke 12:32 “... by coming to love and accept ourselves at the subconscious level, we see our life improve and grow easier; we get “luckier,” and new opportunities suddenly appear.” from No Ordinary Moments - A Peaceful Warrior’s Guide to Daily Life by Dan Millman “I find that when we really love and accept and APPROVE OF OURSELVES EXACTLY AS WE ARE, then everything in life works. It’s as if little miracles are everywhere. Our health improves, we attract more money, our relationships become much more fulfilling, and we begin to express ourselves in creatively fulfilling ways. All this seems to happen without our even trying.” from You Can Heal Your Life by Louise L. Hay We are constantly (for most of humanity, unknowingly) creating the equivalent of our moment to moment moods. (Like Attracts Like. The Law of Attraction.)Hopefully, you are now realizing the importance of consciously and purposefully feeling good. “The Universe responds to how we feel.” Esther Hicks And finally, a few more quotes for your consideration. I believe a certain thread, a certain concept, runs through all of them. “You cannot impress the mind of God by having a special Sabbath day set apart to tell him what you want, and then forgetting him during the rest of the week. You cannot impress him by having special hours to go into your closet and pray, if you then dismiss the matter from your mind until the next hour of prayer comes again.” “In order to get rich you do not need a “sweet hour of prayer,” you need to “pray without ceasing.” From Chapter 8 of The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace Wattles “Affirming, over and over, “I am now creating a successful career (or whatever) in an easy and relaxed manner, in a healthy and positive way” will, over time, overcome a huge number of your doubts and fears. I imagined myself, over and over — even way back when I was a total poverty case — living a life of ease, strolling around my big white house on a hill, with nothing to do, sitting on several million worth of assets. I visualized this repeatedly, and it came true in my life.” Marc Allen, self-made publishing multi-millionaire "What I am most happy about is that I can zero in on a vision of where I want to be in the future. I can see it so clearly in front of me when I daydream that it's almost a reality. Then I get this easy feeling, and I don't have to be uptight to get there because I already feel like I'm there, that it's just a matter of time." Arnold Schwarzenegger "Your assumption to be effective, cannot be a single isolated act; it must be a maintained attitude of the wish fulfilled. And that maintained attitude that gets you there, so that you think FROM your wish fulfilled instead of thinking ABOUT your wish, is aided by assuming the feeling of the wish fulfilled frequently. It is the frequency, not the length of time, that makes it natural. That to which you constantly return constitutes your truest self. Frequent occupancy of the feeling of the wish fulfilled is the secret of success." ~ Neville Goddard – The Power of Awareness “The important thing is that you actively put yourself in the vibration you must for your desired outcome to be created.” - Multimillionaire John Assaraf, from p. 168 of his book ‘The Street Kid’s Guide To Having It All’ “In order to obtain what we want, when and where we want it, we must continuously and persistently affirm our oneness with the thing we want.” - from ‘How To Attract Success’ by F. W. Sears, written in 1914 “All you have to do is get into vibrational harmony with your desire, and your desire must be given to you - and the Universe will find endless ways of bringing it to you.” Abraham-Hicks Or, as Joe Vitale (and others) has said, "Just get happy." In other words, the more you can make peaceful, happy, loving, kind, uplifted feelings your norm, the more you will find the 'Universe' reflect back to you everything of the life you want. Oh shoot!! One more thought I just came across, that might help you find your first business or line of endeavor: “If you do not feel yourself growing in your work and your life broadening and deepening, if your task is not a perpetual tonic to you, you have not found your place." ~ Orison Swett Marden 1850 – 1924 founder of Success Magazine Phil "The Universe is responding to how we feel." When to take action?
When it's so enticing and you feel so wonderful about it that you couldn't STOP yourself from taking action. That's when! And you get to that point simply by following Wally's advice to enter at once into the full enjoyment of whatever it is you desire to be, do, or have. You create the experience in your mind -- fully, delightfully. That's the creative part. The action is sort of the follow-up, NOT the part that creates anything. Love & blessings, and, of course-- EXPECT Success! Rebecca |

It's funny. That's the answer I've been looking for months, even though it is actually stated quite clearly in the course. (I guess I just forgot) And I just "got it" a week, or so, ago, by rereading the course. Thanks for stating this again. I think this will go on my desktop background. _______ Follow your bliss! |

What if ya'all need money to take the inspired action and you haven't got it?
But hey there....here is what's happening for me regarding action. I have been having a pretty good time at work and have been counting my blessings for the many things that this job offers. No its not a money maker or a dream job, but I don't suffer though my days anymore and I use the mindless part of the day to think happy thoughts and laugh with my coworkers, some of whom are filling a rather big void in my single-even-though-I-am-married life. Very grateful to these people, I am. So today I worked for another lady who couldn't make it today and she gets off pretty early, so I was excited to have some time to shop for my son's birthday. To make a long story short, I felt excited, almost passionate about the shopping....and everything went wrong. I came home and figured out some solutions to the problems, and gave myself some long desired quiet Annie time to think about my cmi and to visualise those lovely things I talk about often enough. I was so there, so happy and even believing I could afford one or two of these things, when both college kids called in need of money....and there went the dreams. I have been practicing yet another A-H technique in which I take 15 minutes before bed and 15 minutes when I wake up and just calmly envision the next day going well. I have also been doing the thing where I envision the next 15 minutes or the next activity in a positive way. This has helped me immensely with my dread and anxiety over almost everything. I feel so positive and sure, but it seems the more relaxed and confident I am, the worse the situation gets. Like the thing with the college kids calling...I never even think of them when they are away. I never call them. I have been daydreaming about my trip to Frisco and even had the money...til they called. Heck I was even expecting them to tell me they got sumer jobs. A-H always says these feel good moments lead to more feel good moments. So why don't mine? And what do you do when inspired action leads nowhere or makes things worse? Humf! |

What I am saying here is that I am afraid to think about my cmi, or to take any sort of enthused action because bad things seem to always happen.

Annie, I’m wondering, do your college kids have more right to life than you? Do they have more right to happiness than you? And also, is you giving them money making them into more independent, resourceful, resilient, self assured persons? Phil "The Universe is responding to how we feel." Esther Hicks |

Where is it written that just because your college kids ask for what they want it HAS to come from YOU? You are a fan of A-H who wrote "Ask and it is Given" which is true....but, when the kids ASK it doesn't mean it HAS to be Given by YOU. In fact, perhaps the biggest favor you could have done for them...and yourself...is to suggest the summer job. Just my opinion. Michael |

They are trying to get jobs. But what if they can't pay their rent or car insurance? Where are they going to live? How do they get to work?
And then I got the news that a renter I have been trying to help find aid can't pay her rent again. She is almost a month behind on her pay as she can program. I am just trying to figure out how one can feel so good and positive and not have these wonderful aha moments that everyone writes about in the books. Even now, I went for a walk and appreciated. It feels great. But it isn't closer to my cmi. I just feel like I right on the edge, but I can't break through. And I certainly wonder how days of happiness can go by without some positive feedback..LOA speaking...an opportunity, an idea???? Anything? Ah well...its not my worst day and the money is always managable |

Annie, There is a certain specie of bamboo that supposedly has to be watered and cared for for TWO YEARS before it begins to sprout. But once it sprouts it grow at a rate of over A FOOT A DAY!!! If you’re making progress (and from all I read of your posts you are CERTAINLY progressing!!) you are certainly creating the inner changes needed for you to ‘break through’ so-to-speak. The way I see it is, every difficulty or perplexity we encounter is ‘grist for the mill’ and we may not even know which one will be the one that will FINALLY allow us to unfold and realize ourselves and our lives as we want them to be. You may have also heard of the analogy of the stone cutter. A stone cutter will take his chisel and hammer and start plugging away at a certain part of a stone. Hit after hit after hit. Sometimes this goes on for days at a time. From the looks of things no progress is being made. But then, one day, after perhaps hundreds or thousands of hits, the stone finally CRACKS OPEN. Now, the only thing that keeps a stone cutter going is they’ve usually apprenticed under someone who knows this. Otherwise, after hitting stone a couple hundred times, they would likely give up. You know you are changing and evolving. What you maybe can’t know is, what change will finally be the one that ‘breaks’ you through to the life you ideally want? Or, there’s the story Oprah has told on Larry King, about how she got an acting part in ‘The Color Purple.’ She had been agonizingly wanting to be in the movie, or just to be some part of the movie, even just be on the set. She had even been telling everyone she knew, and she had even auditioned for a part, but months went by and nothing. Long story short, it was when she finally ‘let go’ of it all that the ‘break through’ happened. She got the call that they wanted her to be in the movie. Here’s a link to the interview: Oprah on Larry King Phil "The Universe is responding to how we feel." Esther Hicks |

I sometimes feel great sadness when I tell myself its time to let go. Though I suspect you are right.
However, I took about an hour today to relax into my feel good, all is well mood. I am loving life....and as an experiemnt, lets see who calls to tell me I owe them a million or so. I am thinking I've got the cause and effect all wrong anyway. Darn and I so wanted to blame SOGR for yesterday. Thanks Phil. |

Annie, I heard Oprah say she was also very sad, when she was thinking she wasn't going to be in 'The Color Purple.' She said she was on that running track, and tears were streaming down her face, and she was trying to release it, singing a gospel tune, "I surrender all, I surrender all, all the Thee my loving savior, I surrender all." ok, ok, I know you're an atheist, but you can improvise you're own non-theist version. The point is, it's when she completely surrendered that it happened for her. Phil "The Universe is responding to how we feel." Esther Hicks |

Annie, perhaps you might see them as hatchlings. Did you know that if you help a baby bird break out of it's shell, it will die? It's the struggle that strengthens them for life and success. I have two, almost three boys, who have gone on to college. Because they had 6, 5, and 4 younger siblings respectively, we have told them. Once you graduate, you are on your own. You have to get scholarships, loans, grants, jobs. Funny thing. The first two each had people offer to let them live with them, ultimately rent free. Families of friends they met when they went to college. The third really wants to move to a major city for the Summer. I told him he had to figure out a place to live and a vehicle. I was having a casual conversation with a friend who is moving to that city, just the other day. She just bought a house within five minutes from his job. They bought a house too big for them, and invited him to live with them. I am pretty sure, ultimately it will be rent free. We help those older ones when we can and when they have no where else to turn. You don't have to be the first answer. You can be the last. After they have exhausted all their resources. |

Starbwoy, I heard an analogy recently that makes so much sense and helped me understand why we may not have what we want. I goes like this... Imagine going into an ice cream shop and buying a cone of ice cream for your youngster. As you walk out of the store, she gives the scoop a big lick and off it falls, onto the sidewalk. When you go back in for another, she asks for a triple scoop cone. Would you let her have one? Most likely not because she hasn't demonstrated that she can handle one scoop yet. And herein lies the lesson... the universe will not give us what we ask for unless and until we prove we are ready and responsible enough to handle it. In the arena of money for example, why would the universe give us a million dollars if we prove repeatedly that we aren't yet prepared to handle it? If we manage the million the way we've managed our existing finances and don't increase our financial IQ, we'll end up right back in the same boat. I loved this analogy and it taught me to treat even what we consider the smallest of things with utmost responsibility, so that more will be given. Hope this helps... |

LaurieH I am not sure I agree with that. Does the universe or formless judge us worthy or not? Wally said smart people get rich blockheads get rich.
Maybe there is a trait that people who dont know how to handle money also are not in alingment with the vibration to get a million dollars. Captjack |

Hi Laurie, That one seems iffy to me. I mean, if that were true then wouldn't the Universe not give driver's licenses to people who are going to go out and get drunk and drive? Or, it seems there would not be leaders like the ones behind the Enron debacle. Or parents who abuse their children. Or Adolph Hitler, for that matter. And, there seems to be countless other examples like this. Phil "The Universe is responding to how we feel." Esther Hicks |
