There are so many different ideas and projects that I am thinking off. All are time consuming and all require action on my part. The trouble is,which one do I go with first? I get as far as planning it in my mind, and out of one idea pops another one which takes me in different direction. How do I steady my mind long enough to think the original idea through before I get sidetracked? In the meantime, I'm still in the job I hate, but hey the bills have to get paid, and I'd rather be constructively spending my time on planning my vision then looking for yet another j.o.b. Any ideas?

Settle on one definite chief aim. Of all those different ideas and projects, which one appeals to you the most? Choose one, then act on it.

The question to answer seems to be, âWhat are my priorities? Whatâ™s most important and valuable to me?â When we begin to see all our potential itâ™s easy to become like a kid in a candy store. We can almost go nuts with all our possibilities and options. And then, we can become just as overwhelmed and incapable of constructive action as we are when we feel like we have NO options. To me, the solution to this is to get our priorities straight. What works for me is going back to realigning with my values, in the hierarchy of what is most important. Attend to what is most important FIRST. How can you know what is most important? One way is to imagine a certain scenario: You Have Only ONE YEAR To Live. What would you do then? What project or projects would then keep your interest? What would you attend to that you have been putting aside? Now, of course, this may not mean youâ™ll be able to just jump into whatever you think is most important to do, but it should help you re-organize your time and your life so that you're attending to what is most important to you. Then, when you are organized like this and responding to what is most important to you, you will naturally start to experience more fulfillment in your life. Why? Because itâ™s when we pay attention to what is REALLY important to us, and addressing these issues, that we experience fulfillment. We cannot really experience fulfillment if we are merely responding to whatever comes up in the moment. We need something to guide us. This something is our Hierarchy of Values (what we value most, on down the list of our lesser values). Now, Iâ™m not saying donâ™t live in the present moment. What Iâ™m saying is, we need to have something in us that will steer us around distractions. For example, letâ™s say you come home and the TV is on, so you ânaturallyâ™ take a peek at whatâ™s on, and the next thing you know, 2 hours have gone by where youâ™ve watched some fairly meaningless dribble. Is THIS how you want to be spending your PRECIOUS time? Isnâ™t it true that people who squander time seem to be the ones who are most in a bind with living? What does it mean to 'squander time'? It means, to spend our time on things of lesser value, than the things of greater value. I believe we tend to forget that TIME is possibly our MOST precious asset. It can seem like we have all the time in the world, but in terms of experiencing fulfillment, we really need to treat time as if it were extremely PRECIOUS. So, maybe imagine you have only a year to live. What would then become important to you? Just a few thoughts,â¦.. Phil

quote: Yes! How about following Mr. Wattles' advice and STARTING with the job you have now. Reread what he has to say about this -- about how to USE this job to move ahead. And realize that "hating" it is your choice and you can change that. I'm not saying to stay in this job forever (and neither does Mr. Wattles), but consider that your attitude toward it right now is one way you are HUGELY blocking your own progress and access to greater opportunity. When all your focus, faith, and feeling are going into hating your job, what can you expect to be created from that? Food for thought. Many blessings, and, of course-- EXPECT Success! Rebecca

Hi Tan, As a writer, I am constantly coming up with new ideas for novels. If I ignore them, I lose a possibly great novel. If I switch over to the new idea entirely, thus setting the one I'm currently working on aside, I will never get a novel complete. So what to do? I handle this by pausing very briefly (an hour or perhaps two) in my current work to either take notes (if the new idea isn't in "complete" form) or by writing the first chapter or two to record the idea without losing the current project. Then I file it and continue with my current novel without another thought to the new idea. In this way, I always have plenty of ideas for future projects and still can get on with the current one. In your own situation, you could decide to do the same thing. When a new idea comes forth, rather than turning your whole attention to it and thus losing what you are currently working on, you could make a few notes about it, then file it away until the proper time to turn your full attention to it comes along. That way, you won't lose the idea entirely and will still be working on your current project. Live in Light, Coccinella

Tan ... you may find it usefull to let your mind flow from one thought to another. Just jot down ideas as they come to you in a journal and you can always revisit them. Often our major definite purpose in life is not presented to us right away. It may be that you need to develop your thinking further before you are ready to arrive at the point where your major definite purpose is clear in your mind. When it is though you will know. the fact that at the moment you have uncertainty around your ideas suggests that you have not yet arrived at your major definite purpose. Keep seeking, learning, exploring and asking for the answers and positively expect that they will come to you. This has been my experience recently. My vision for my life was lacking in clarity and I found myself pulled in many different directions. But by acting in a positive manner in the now, and positively believing my vision would become clear it did. Have faith and work on expanding your view of whats possible for your life. regards Rod Moore Get your FREE copy of 'Unleash the Magic of Goals' at http://www.goalsmagic.com
