Hi Everybody!

I just wanted to tell you all SOGR really really WORKS! Hopefully this can be of help to someone who might be having a bit of a rough patch (like I have definietly had).

I have been looking for a better job-the one I was at it was pretty miserable. Anyways I tried very hard to follow all the SOGR principles and believe that I already had what I desired. So I sent out resumes and had interviews for months and I would get job offers but then at the last minute everything would fall through (this happened 4 times), then I just didnt do anything (SOGR related)for awhile because I got really discouraged. After I was tired of feeling this way I started to follow SOGR again and suddenly got really excited about sending in my resume to a job I found listed (although I didnt think I would get it in a million years)so I sent it and just forgot about it and focused on visualising etc. Well I got a call from this company I had applied to and interviewed with them and was amazed that this job was WAY better than what I had been visualizing. Anyways, after 2 interviews they said that I was as good as hired and they would contact me in a couple days. So I was incredibly excited, but a couple days passed and then a week, then two weeks and I never got a call from them. I was not a happy camper, let me tell yah. I felt that maybe as much as I wanted to believe SOGR maybe it really didnt work (or not for me anyway). But after feeling bad for awhile, I realized that I had a choice in how I thought about everything and really tried to focus on gratitude and feeling that something good was on its way, I visualised this company hiring me and happily working there but this was REALLY difficult because it seemed so impossible-I hadnt heard from them for over a month! But Monday afternoon my phone rang and it was this company, and the job description had changed just a little bit (to something that was more appealing to me) but I was officially hired and I am starting Monday!

Sorry that was so lengthy but the bottom line is DONT GIVE UP! Just keep on doing the best you can. If I was able to get an awesome job with my very very imperfect practice of SOGR the possibilies are LIMITLESS!

Thank you for sharing that with us. It's proof that failures aren't really what they seem and are just the universes way of making sure you are free to accept a better opportunity instead!

Wishing you every success in your new job!

Thanks Jomay. That is so true! This whole process helped me to truly understand that my perspective is very limited but I really need to just let go and trust in the formless.

(Thank you so much for your kind wishes)

Kim,

Your story could be twice as long and it wouldn't matter. Smile

Congratulations on keeping a positive vision during the lull. Keep the faith no matter what.

Your "imperfect" persistence led to perfect results.
