Imagine that rug and it will come. Hehehe.
Well I talked about my office being cold as there are just tiles (no carpeting). I considered buying one - but then - out of the blue a colleague remembers a piece of carpet at the office not in use and tada... carpet to cover the cold tiles. :-) |

Hey, this reminds me of a carpet I got last month! I had forgotten about this one.
We decided to do a "red carpet night" as the closing ceremony for our student appreciation month. Just as we were speaking about it, a guy who works at the carpet store across the street walked in to ask about a quote he sent me. I asked if he had a small scrap of red carpet we could borrow for one night. He said sure! We used it for the evening, then sent it right back. It was perfect, and so easy. What's amazing is that I had actually resisted suggestions to do "red carpet" themes before because I didn't have a red carpet. Again, with the getting stuff when I'm willing to accept it. Love and Blessings, Rachel |

Well I got a plant.....
Some time ago I was redoing my balcony and not having a lot of spare cash I aimed to spend as little as possible. I really wanted a black bamboo and I did some internet research, but the cheapest I could find for a very small pot was $75. I gave up and bought a much cheaper plant which is lovely, but not the black bamboo. Then I was chatting to one of my classmates in shopfitting. He was saying he does a lot of handyman jobs and sometimes garden makeovers. He gets given a lot of plants that people no longer want and he & his partner are currently trying to clear out stuff because they want to move. I asked if he had a spare plant for my balcony and when he asked what sort I said something straight up and down. He took over then and said; Oh structural. I have just the right plant. He brought it to class which is at night so I didn't get a good look at it. He just said it was very hardy and I could split it into several plants or shape it. I lugged it up my three flights of stairs late at night and put it out there on the balcony - and didn't really get a good look at it until a week later: Guess what! It is a black bamboo. Just shows you doesn't it. Pauline |

LOVE when stuff like that happens, thanks for sharing Pauline. I have found that the key is really really wanting it with all your heart, really feeling it and then LETTING IT GO. THAT'S when the magick happens.
Enjoy your black bamboo! "Once I learned to herd cats, I realized that ANYTHING is possible..." Julia Passamonti-Colamartino http://venetiancat.com |

Read a cool quote on letting go today:

"We manifest only what we surrender." —Martha Beck
Thanks Karin, I really like that quote - and I have been thinking about that today in fact - as I was driving here to work. I have a particular situation in mind that I can't see any way around and it doesn't just involve me. I was saying to the universe from my car: I give up! You need to decide what's best and make happen what needs to happen because I can't. Usually when I get to this point really good things happen (if I can manage to stay in that spot and not try to fix it myself again...arrgggghhh). Oh well, fingers crossed. Pauline |

Over the holidays, I had one thing happen after another....two broken cars, stitches and salmonella poisoning. When I woke up the morning I had to go back to Pittsburgh to visit my parents and son who goes to school out there, a trip I dread, I also found out my son's car wasn't fixable and wouldn't pass inspection. So I needed a new one. I wasn't able to completely let go. I hate this trip. My husband found out about the car and started making a big planned ordeal out of the things...controlling giving us his idea of choices. I told him to take a hke and I'd handle it. Then I did the best I could to surrender and asked the god I don't believe in to help me let go. I didn't let go completely, but things jsut fell into place and I got an inexpensive solid car without shopping from a woman I used to ride the school bus with 30 something years ago. They hadn't had a sale all month and were very happy also. I didn't need to worrry about the title or the trade or a certified check because they knew me. It was a style of car my son always liked....you get the picture. It was a pain in the butt, but it all went so smoothly for the situation. The only reason I know I didn't let go entirely is because I was so exhausted at the end of te day. It was still a three and a half hour ride. I had stomach pains. With each step I got scared, and had to remindmyself I wasn't controlling this. I am so tired today still and have so much to do. I am trying to let go of wanting to feel good. I finally had a taste of the results of letting go a little. But it is still such work. I am also a bit confused on conscious creation and letting things happen. I feel overwhelmed and confused. Fun and profitable day to all...and maybe a restful one for me??? Annie |

Last summer I went to Harrods, you know the famous London store, Al Fayed / Diana connection.
Well, outside there were probably 12 to 14 extremely luxury customized sports cars all with the number plate of QATAR ...I said to my friend , I want so much to have a rich QATARY customer , I could smell the wealth and I was almost there in the future working for a rich Qatary...I had never ever met a Qatary in my life, little idea as to even where it was...two months later I was working on a project for a rich Qatary businessman, a seven months project and the most money I have ever made in a year...all I could think when I got the call to my complete and absolute surprise was SOGR,SOGR,SOGR!!! Annie, that's great! Maybe you should thank the God you don't believe in and next time, it will be even better. |

My son who is away from home for awhile, rather than writing me and telling me he needed new shoes because he had holes in his and was walking in snow and rain, decided to attract a new pair. For a week he thought all about how happy his feet would be with a new pair of shoes on. One day, he and his companions walked into a Zappos store. I don't even know what that is. But they were having a 70% off sale and he got an $80 pair of shoes for $15. He was thrilled and so was I. I don't think we should get hung up on the fact that he had to pay something. He got something great for what he could pay.

Great quote. Actually, yesterday I have found my set of keys, for which I knew had to be at home, because it went missing after I brought my older son home. Next morning, keys were gone. I knew, I will find those keys eventually, but just as I started to think about getting a new, replacement set - voila - I found the old one. |
