Hey everyone
I just had an interesting thought regarding speaking about the past. I mentioned previously that reading a story about overcoming all odds can be so inspiring. Well, someone had to talk about their past in order for that story to come out. So I'm thinking that it's the INTENTION behind the story that you want to keep in mind. If you're coming from a place to INSPIRE, then your story can have some value. However, if you're rehashing the details, reliving each one in vivid, living color, just to get sympathy or whatever gives you erotic pleasure, then maybe you should forget about the past and move on down the road! Any thoughts? Russ "Every time you encourage others to believe in themselves, you magnify your own greatness!" Russ Hamel http://www.lovethatfeeling.com/blog/about/ |

Sure, Russ!
I think the rule is always to have thoughts of abundance and limitless possibility, and feelings of joy and gratitude. If you can talk about the past with just a chuckle and a shake of the head at yourself, you're probably okay to inspire people. If describing your past triggers feelings of fear, lack, and doubt, then definitely avoid doing it until those icky feelings dissipate. In another post, I mentioned that I used to complain a lot. In fact I used to joke that complaining was my hobby. It's an indulgence that seemed harmless at the time. Now that I'm aware of how powerful my thoughts and feelings are, I avoid negativity like the plague. Writing or talking about past struggles can be like complaining. It all depends on the feelings you get when you do it. So, Russ, I think you're on track with the idea that it is the INTENTION. I just think your feelings are the real compass here, as always. Love and Blessings, Rachel |

You wouldn't have any problems getting $100 per hour teaching English to wealthy clients in Japan either! You can travel to Korea to renew your visa as well as renew your connections! Be good to yourself, live life passionately and always, always expect success!! I don't know how long I will live, but I'll live until I die!! Tom Strong |

Awesome Teruchan! And double awesome Russ. If one can, all can.
I will say that I admire Annie's honesty. There have been times I have felt that my life and plans were in delay because of MY OWN CHOICES, but I was loving the journey, so I could live with that. quote: How come Teruchan doesn't have to make it right where he is at? Or doesn't Napolean Hill's advice apply to everyone? I am totally guessing that Annie is implying that her parental status keeps her from the freedom that Teruchan is/will be enjoying. But marital or parental status really has nothing to do with our past, present, future, or CMI. Teruchan has only been limited by his own thoughts as Annie continues to be. I think when or if any of us make the decision Teruchan has, that will begin the steps to what we are seeking and desiring. Along with other things. But, I just read a chapter on Goals in a success book, and I know that writing it all down (what I know as goals, not necessarily what someone else defines) will begin to make the connections needed in my brain and in my reality to make what's in my brain a reality. WE are the ones who limit or free ourselves and until we get that, we remain where we are. |

Hi Teruchan! That's fantastic. Such a decisive move is sure to bring you great results - it gives the universe something definite to act upon. Regarding your comment - I remember watching a documentary about Elton John who said his initial years touring in a small van in England were some of the best of his life. Not that you would head for that either - but you are right. If you are certain and keep to your CMI like this things will move for you in very good ways. We're all there with you. cheers Pauline |
