By applying SOGR.

The company in question 'appeared' to have ignored my application. Then I discovered a 12 DAY OLD message on my mobile phone, asking me to call them to arrange an interview. No, I hadn't been ignoring my phone, the message really did take that long to come through.

Then I went for a very pleasant first interview. And an even more pleasant second interview. And today I've been told I've got the job. It's not my CMI - but it is a step on the way to my CMI. And the joy is that the salary is higher than I would have dared hope even two months ago. Icing on the cake is that the job is a ten minute drive from home.

Thank you Wally, and thank you Rebecca. You have been my constant companion for the last few months, although you may not have noticed that Wink

Congrats Cal ,

Even I was trying in last 5 months to get a better job (salary + work)than currently what I am getting. Some how things were not working even after appearing for lot of telephonic & face to face interviews.. But
on 18th Feb , I just appeared for 2 rounds of telephonic interview, & got quite good offer(much better than what companies are currently offering in that city) from a company which is near to home town.
Again it is a part of my CMI Smile where I imagined that I have got a good paying job & also near to home so that can visit my home town on weekends.
so imagination does work.. Smile

Thank you everyone. The '10 minutes from home' is actually from a list of things I wanted that I wrote a few years ago. This job could have been created just for me - and I will be the first to do it at this company so I even get to create my own job. Lots of things happened along the way that were pure SOGR, so I'm very happy to report that it worked. Big Grin
