I've just started reading the book and the more I read into it the more disappointed I'm seeing this as a cult. What would you say to someone who is feeling this way? Why does my logic prevent the acceptance/attainment of faith?

I understand that a cult is where you let someone elese take control of your mind. You are correct in not letting that happen.

Hi Next.......Since there is no one who is forcing you to learn about the Science of Getting Rich, perhaps you might go within yourself to that place from which you make your very best life-decisions for yourself, and decide if learning this straight-forward and logical science is for you or not. You'll KNOW if this is for you or it isn't.
Personally, I see The Science of Getting Rich as one of the most logical books I've ever read, and this course for Practical Geniuses is one of the most logical and practical gifts I've ever received.

Thanks for the replies, found them interesting but still, I'm finding myself still confused/doubtful/whatever. Reading this book has caused me to realize a new way of looking at this life/world/moment. But my logic, which has always been my light, can't advise me how to confront these NEW thoughts and ideas. And is even more confused at HOW this can be possible.

This was addressed by saying something to the effect of "these are not needed to be done" but what if I WANTED to KNOW HOW and WHY?

I just wanted to say that I got lost here and could find no means at all to post a new topic as had been the norm.

just a thought: Usually people get to this kind of literature when they "are ready" to experience their life's from a different point of view. When they have realized that their own mind and ego can't pretend anymore to know everything and only work in someones own best interest.

There is a good chance that people are confronted with this teaching at a time, where they still believe in their own power as all there is and would not be willing to trust in their faith to surrender to a higher power, the Universal Mind.

Could it be that you are coming from that place? If so, you have the choice to either call this a nice opportunity to have met some people with other opinions, or just to stay and open yourself up to the incredible vastness of the Universe and "surrender" to the Laws of the Universe". That requires you to be willing to be open and receptive, and not to judge with your conditioned mind. Do not take what you know now up 'til now as the measure for what you are confronted with in this "teaching, science", whatever you want to call it.

If you decide to stay, skip through previous posts and see what's going on here. If you open yourself up to this and get poised, I promise you will love it!

I didn't mention it but, last night, I decided to UNDERSTAND and BE what IS, BEFORE I decide to BELIEVE what IS(my version of "putting everything aside").

You'd be SURPRISED(I think some of you already KNOW), I'm a quick learner!

Already I've started to form my next two job positions(in order to prepare myself for the eventual goal of not having to work again)

and

I looked out my office window and looked at the houses on the hills and saw where I will be moving to.

Overall, I would say today was DIFFERENT.

With my future now in my hands, I'm those of you who KNOW to please advise me on how to ACT.

I think one of the issues you are struggling with has to do with your "logic", as you stated. We are all composed of a) a physical body, b) a concious mind or thinking stuff which receives input from our five sensory factors, and c) our greatest part which is unseen, the subconsious, the spiritual. Under our outward skin, or appearance, we are all the same except for this formless part. This is the absolutely critical and beautiful part of our makeup. You will never comprehend these concepts or accept them into your life from only a "logic" viewpoint. Hope this helps.

You requested some guidance on How To Act. Chapters 11 and 12 really cover this beautifully and here are a couple key points to consider.

1. You can only act where you are (not in the past, not in the future).

2. Do today's work well.

3. Hold with faith and purpose the vision of yourself in your better environment AND act withini your present environment with all your heart.

4. While acting with commitment to your future and in your present space and place, MORE than FILL your present place.

5. Do ALL that can be done in that day, even the smallest seemingly insignificant actions are important.

6. Do not rush: take your efficient actions with peaceful intention.

7. In each action, remember to HOLD the vision with complete power of FAITH and PURPOSE.

The "cult" thing is such a non-issue right NOW. I FEEL that so much has changed since I posted that. I can't stay on too long.

Any advice on how others introduced these teaching to their spouses? Can a married person achieve their SOGR goals w/o their spouse practicing SOGR???

In reference to introducing these concepts to your life partner, you may ask them to read the book,

Otherwise I believe that you should NOT try to influence them, concentrate on yourself
in
(a) thinking in the certain way
(b) doing things in the certain manner

this should create an environment where your partner is happy to be with you

Hi Next,

I am glad to hear you have moved off of the cult thing because I assure you that is a nonissue with this goup of wonderful people.
I have suggested to my wife numerous times about SOGR and that she should read the book. Even though she is very open minded she has not yet made the effort. However as Peter mentioned she has noticed a significant change in me. (Acting in the certain way). I am grateful for everything and my whole outlook on life has changed. I talk about how our lives are soon to take off such as having $ to travel, buy and do things that up to now we have not been able to do. I know she has noticed these changes and I feel it is a matter of time before she is so curious about what is going on with me she will not be able to help herself and will want to start reading SOGR. If not that to is okay, as I would never pressure her to read it. I will gladly have her grab onto my coattails as we take off and enjoy the best that life has to offer. WOW
