My actions currently have no relation to my present business. As I said, I would love to attract great customers. I hold a vision of that. I do not, however, have any idea how to do that, and I know I don't need to concern myself with how anyway. As a result, my action is to do thew only thing I am inspired to do. That is make my animation.

Great! The only thing I would venture is, how do you really know what you are currently doing has no relation to your present business? It's probably more like we don't see yet how it is going to relate to our present business, yet we feel really good doing it...that's why we leave the "how" to the universe Wink

I do keep watch over my feelings, and look for blessings in every moment. Generally feeling good and feeling what it is like to have the thing I want are possibly two different things, though. When I visualize the dream fulfilled, I feel really good and can't hold back an ear to ear grin. I don't know if that is feeling like what it would really feel like to have that thing, but I sure do love it!

I also meditate once or twice a day, which sure seems to keep the feelings light. These are processes I recently took on though (Or rediscovered recently having done them and dropped them before) so I know there's plenty of room to improve. I am trying not to take it all too seriously though, and just "go with it." I don't want to become like a chore.

Some of the things I asked for, I just really enjoy thinking about and smiling, feeling like I'm on top of the world.

True, I just don't see a relation, and I like to believe that anything is possible. Still, most of what I'm doing now, no one is ever going to see. It's just for my own development. Of course, when I feel I'm ready, the real animation projects will begin! Wink

It seems to me, the 'real' animation will begin when you have a great enough story to animate.

And, I believe when you have that, you will suddenly realize that you don't need to know more. You won't have to develop to be ready.

It's like some of the successful online business people I've studied. Many have no idea how to create the necessary websites, or how to do html, or even what it is. But they have a solid vision, and get all the technical and other help they need,... and many make oodles of money.

It seems to me, you may not need more development, just a greater purpose for doing your animation. When you have that you can create the team to make it a reality, whether that includes other animators, agents, a manager, publicist, lawyer, venture capitalist, tools, assistants, resources and/or whatnot.

True, and I certainly have projects that I would like to fall under that category. For me there are those projects I want to make, and those I want to have made. For those I want to draw myself, my development is really more technical. For example, using a drawing tablet I'm not used to, or a new version of software. I am just getting comfortable with the tools I have (while holding a vision of the tools I want).

Also, having received some very good advice from a veteran, and very prolific, indie animator, I decided to change my visual style in an effort to bring some of that "fun from childhood" back into the process.
