Having the faith to believe everything is alright when everything obviously isn't ( You all know what I mean) Eek I went to bed and did not worry. I pretended. If I tried the Faith, full on, a bit a doubt crept in. Roll Eyes So I pretended that my sons wedding had not been booked into a place that held 40 for the ceremony and a 100 for the reception by someone who did know quite how big the family is. Confused
What did it matter that 84 members of the family would have a fit if they couldn't get in and would probably blame me as the obvious target. I divorced the family and now I am taking over the wedding arrangements. Eek (My darling daughter-out-laws parents don't want to do it.)
Did I tell you that this wedding is in June of this year? Anyway, my eldest son and I have had such a good laugh sending out all the invites, making maps, finding addresses and sticking stamps. We have bonded like we used to be when he lived at home with me. I love it so much and feel so very blessed.
Back to the wedding in the too small room.
8.30am whilst being told on one phone that it is too late. Sorry. Nothing can be done. Very sought after venue you know! My mind is saying I can do this. It is meant to be. Its mine! Where on earth could I get a church at such short notice?
However in true Universal style the other phone tells me there has been a cancelation and would we like the large wedding room for 100 people and the larger reception room for 150? One the exact day just a few hours earlier? Thank you. Thank you. Thank you and I thank you!
How lucky is that! (everyone is saying.)
I know it wasn't luck .... it was probably old Wally himself. Big Grin

Oh and I got the brand new pink razor mobile that was in my scrap book as a free update and enough vouchers to pay for ALL the phone calls I made..... Happy? You bet your life I am.

Lots of love
Eileen

I love this story - fantastic! It's just how it's supposed to work. It reminds me of what Rebecca wrote in another thread, something like what you can take care of you'll take care of, the rest you'll leave for universe.
