Hi Johny,

There is no difference they are both the same.

The name God, Higher Power, Universal Intelligence, Thinking Substance, Almighty, Heavenly Father, The I AM - whatever name you choose - this is all the ONE. The ONE you pray to is this same ALL. roll eyes

Warmly,
Robyne

Hi john123

Interesting name. I am very familiar with aa, and have been for years, well a combination of 12 step programs. So we may be able to talk on the same wave length with some terminology as well. Although, I'm sure, as you may have already discovered, there are others.

This is an absolutely wonderful time of Enlightenment in my life, this SOGR-PG course. I have been trying to recall how I came across this course, I do not remember. How did you learn of SOGR? And how do find the relationship between SOGR and aa? There definitely are some similar Life Concepts in practice here. I have gone thru and tried to put SOGR into the 12 steps, there is a corralation, and yet definitely some differences. The differences quite often, that I find have more to do with what people bring to a 12 step meeting, that seems to change the presentation of the original aa concept with the 12 steps. I've had to decipher thru much of that. There are some practices that seem to explain why many people in 12 step programs are not quite as inquisitive, ambitious or driven for more of Life, as I have been. I have had a challenge at finding those, within the 12 step meeting rooms, willing to pursue "recovery" at a more intense level, such as I. Don't get me wrong, I do not mean to knock the 12 steps of aa, there are some very dynamic concepts in force there, and I most definitely thank God/Universal Energy for my experience(s) in 12 step programs, they have been life savers for me, for many years. However, I have come to a point in my life where it became necessary to "leave the tribe" so-to-speak, in order to expand beyond...

Tell me about your experience, if you will.

Have a WONDERFUL day FULL OF ALL THE MAGNIFICIENCE YOU CAN IMAGINE!!
Helen

dear helen,i logged on twice with different names,my mistake but i am johny123,very nice to hear from you,in answer to your questions,i found out about sogr from another website unity on the web,and you?
i find the big difference between aa and sogr is in the higher power concept,in sogr you ask for what you want,in aa you accept what you get,now i accept things on my way to getting rich as i really believe i will.helen when you say you are leaving your tribe does that mean you are leaving your program ?
its funny your reply came on friday 13th of december as this is the day i took my last drink 11 years ago,my sobriety is more important to me then anything, without it i would have nothing, also with my sobriety i can achieve anything which is why i like sogr so much .
hope you reply helen, ps what 12 step program are you in .
hope you get all the riches you want
