As life is like a wave, and you have this lovely highs, and also the awful lows, it is very important to speak with people like you all guys, in order to set up the self machinery in order to recover the FAITH.
I've been having terrible moves in the Stock Market, after studying, analyzing, and really hard work, and these days when you pick the wrong stock, at the wrong price, in the wrong direction, then, you start to have trouble with your self...
I would appreciate a lot, some words, on how to recover all that faith, and strong self confidence; when your plan is not showing the clear path, although it is circumstantial, and good trades will certainly are about to come, but can't hardly see them these days.

What I do When I feel like that is just think about my CMI (clear mental image) with faith and gratitude, that makes me recover the idea of my full true potential. I think u feel like that because you are thinking about the failures in the past, so you have to get that out of your mind first, and the best way to do that in my opinion is to change it for the best possible scenario.

I realize that it feels as if our faith is being tested (though really its not, its our experience of the things happening around us that make us feel that way) but if you can find a way to just KNOW that better is coming along then you will rise above the sad feelings you have.

If I feel less than optimistic, and have a hard time focussing on my CMI, I begin with something simple like looking out the window and noticing all the beautiful things this planet has, eg, trees, birds, the snow (its been snowing here) etc. Then I say thank you universe/God for giving us these wonderful things on this planet, and slowly but surely, I start to think of things that lean more toward my CMI, each time thanking and FEELING good about the thanks I give, until you get to your CMI and have a good feeling about that too.

Also, I force (yup, sometimes it really is forcing myself) to put a smile on my face. You see, weirdly enough when you have a smile on your face, you really do begin to feel better and happier. And when you feel happier, you automatically are able to think and feel better about your CMI and believe in it and have faith in it more easily.

Recently I've found the fortune of reading the SOGR book, precisely in preparation for my new interventions in the stock market, and have found many interesting facts that are changing and moving my life in the nicest ways possible, one of those is this quote: "EVERY ADVERSITY BRINGS WITH IT THE SEED OF AN EQUIVALENT ADVANTAGE".
Maybe if I haven't failed and lost that money, I would have stayed out of all this, and just after having this obstacle, I've found this bridge to cross, and "met" all these nice and wisdom friends.

Thank you all, my new advancements for 2011, are certainly positive, and all I (we all) need to do now is take the obstacles as those opportunities that are showing daily, in less than 4 days I have plenty of nice and comforting, better supporting messages.

My promise is that I will be telling and sharing this story and how things come through, and how my own seed of equivalent advantage is growing and becoming the strong tree.

Still not going very good at all in the stock market, I think I am too rookie, but that is making me work every single day, studying, trying to understand, finding answers through all those things that I have done wrong.

There are hundreds of billions trading from one side to another in the stock market, and from all that money I have to take my share, I deeply believe that I deserve it, since I've been studying, every day, preparing my specific knowledge, taking courses, paying different online advisories, making sure that I am becoming day by day a real professional trader.

I will not mourn any more for the money that I have lost, due to my own mistakes, and still use the 75% that I still have left, to reach my riches.

It's hard to deal with one self, and specially is hard to learn how to learn from the mistakes and not reacting punishing your own, suffering, and finding your self hopeless, but there is the difference, if you one to succeed: take the advantage of the lesson from every mistake, obstacle, wrong decision, accident, defeat, and the most important is to look for the advantages, riches, opportunities, and all the good things that are just around the corner after the failure.

I have my faith in the Supreme Intelligence, that my thoughts, my devoted work, my eternal thankfulness for all those people around me, and all those riches that I have, will soon synchronize and enter in that harmony, so needed for success, which will certainly haven't happened due to my ignorance in all these matters.

Keep all your FAITH, and let's support each other to keep it, and to keep walking restless, our fortunes are just there, turning in the next corner.

Have you ever had an experience, maybe looking at someone else's experience, and seen them give up or quite, but later down the road, you can see clearly that if they had continued or stuck it out, things would have worked out?

Here is an example of the extreme kind. Most of my life, I was raised apart from my mother. We reunited briefly when I looked her up after going to college. Some very bad things developed with family members who had raised me, and it created a wall. My mother was depressed and had all kinds of other problems anyway. But, at her lowest, she took her own life. She had a beautiful 11 yr old son. So sad. Such a waste. I barely knew her.

Now that I have a family mostly raised, I know we could have made ammends. We were still working things out. She would have been a grandma to ten children (mine and my brother's).

If she had kept going with faith and hope, knowing things would work out, they would have. I really believe that. But she gave up too soon.

Just mentally put yourself into the future. To the other side of where you are now. Where everything has worked out how you want. You are a successful trader, you've learned the business, you know highs come with lows because that's the law of opposites. You have all the money you want, you have the possessions you've dreamt of, you are doing the things you've always wanted to do. How does it feel?

Now come right back to where you are, and KNOW that it is just on the other side of whatever you need to go through to get their. This or something even better.

I think that the stock market is a lot like running a marathon, or the Tour de France; no matter how hard you work, or how much enthusiastic you fill about it, or how many hours, days, months, or years of training you employ; it stills hard, painful, and you are subject to suffer, and it's specially hard to live with your self after a mistake, or plenty of them even worse.

But, like the marathon, the only way to win it, is running in it, not in the competitive way, but in the creative way. If any of the decisions that I have made, takes a sudden rocket raise, more than 99% of the world population will be left away from that success, and for me, it only rests my faith that I am in, and that I have plenty more chance, absolutely more chance in any favorable situation, as well as there is also the huge chance of loosing, or simply staying the same.

In any case, I am still working, hard, daily, focused, and specially clarifying my CMI, and getting ready to receive whatever my faith will bring for me.

I don't know in what percentage of the marathon I am, but I am going to run until the end, never quit.

We'll still all sharing and spreading our optimism, and our support among us, with faith, example and words like those that you all have gave me in such generous acts, which I absolutely thank you all and the Ethernal/God/Universe/Superior/Nature for giving me the chance to find you, and become part of this select group of smart and positive people.

If I may, I want to just caution you on thinking that how you think or believe something to be, is the way it is for the people who do really well with what you’re thinking about.

In other words, what you said above sounds, to me, a little questionable. It sounds to me like you may be ‘trapping’ yourself or leading yourself astray with your own thoughts.

I found another ‘method’ that was created for being successful in the stock market. It's completely different than W. Buffett's but seems to be very effective. (It was created by Edward Thorp, formerly a professor of math. He was the one who created a method of winning at blackjack, the ‘counting cards’ method that was finally bested when the casinos went to the Nevada legislature and outlawed the use of devices that counted cards. Note at the end of the video, Ed Thorp is mentioned going into the stock market.

Edward Thorp took his understanding of math and applied it to the stock markets and became very rich. (I’ve read he’s close to being a billionaire.) His current investment company has a waiting list of $100 million in investors, as he believes that becoming too large might make his methods unweildy.

“He is currently the President of Edward O. Thorp & Associates, based in Newport Beach, CA. In May 1998, Thorp reported that his personal investments yielded an annualized 20 percent rate of return averaged over 28.5 years.” From:

I know that I look, and sound astray, and that's why I became so active here, and why I thank you and everyone, helping me to straight my path.

The thing when you devote yourself on a business as good, and risky, as the stock market is that 100% of the times your worst enemy is not the market, or the competitors, or the more experienced "old sharks", is one's own mind, is one's self confidence.

I realize that I have to work more in my self, in not having a nightmare from Sunday to Thursday, created in my own brain, specially because I am now "trending" to buy and sell absolutely doubtful, and looking for the lowest regret possible.

Instead I have to be trading on confidence, preparing the trades, trusting my hard worked strategies, and being confident that there, in the market is the money that I deserve, and that I am going to earn clean and in a fair way.

You can't imagine how useful I find all your words, specially your concerned support Phil, and believe me, that I am reading every piece of text you are sending me, I have watched the videos from the fist second to the last one, and I am also trying to give a personal feedback on my own recovery, in order to make this a real story with real people, from anywhere in the world, and this will certainly lead others on how you may think that your story is unique, and not, many others have went through the same or worse, but there is always a way out, and a way to overcome obstacles and the hurdles of the natural human existence.

I have always been interested in card counting, not to say I've ever done it or am smart enough to pull that off. The MIT group conspired together to cheat the system. But I'm still wondering why someone like Rain Man can't play. He wasn't participating in a scheme with other people to cheat. It was just him being himself

As for Warren Buffett, I don't believe his methods are going to give "More for all and less to none." I just finished working for one of his companies recently. I have never been or witnessed such complete disrespect of others or a poorer working environment in my life (not providing safe or proper work conditions, threatening everyone constantly even though they are working 65+ hrs/wk that they'd better increase their production or be fired, etc.) I'm quite sure if OSHA or the local fire dept. came into the building,, they would be immediately shut down.

If his other companies are like this one, they make their profits larger by mistreating their employees.

In my country, very few people know, or understand the trading life, so it is very hard to find someone to talk about it, and exchange information.

The trading, and the markets, have the special feature, that there is no possible competition, it is absolutely all about your own creativity, so you can share your strategies, your knowledge, and take some of those from others, with all the generosity and gratitude, as your own interests and the others will never be exposed, or "in the wrong hands". Nobody but your own, will be responsible for any decision taken and it's results.

A nice and good example on how to work constructively, helping each other, and taking valuable help and opinions from others.
