Hi Paul,

There is an abundance of everything in the universe! Consider this; by my thoughts I create what I want, by my actions I recieve what I want.

ie; I want a clean car, by my thoughts I will create the picture of a clean car, by my actions I will recieve that clean car by either washing it, taking it to a carwash or hireing someone to wash it for me!

This brings a question to my mind, Tom, that I get often. If you think of a clean car, and then take the action of actually cleaning it, what part in that does LOA or Universal Law take? It seems to me you will get the clean car by cleaning it with or without Formless substance. What am I missing?

Hi John,

Page 39, Chapter 11 Acting in The Certain Way Wally says:

"We have not yet reached the stage of development, even supposing such a stage to be possible, in which a person can create directly from formless substance without nature's processes or the work of human hands. A person must not only think, but his personal action must supplement his thought."

Page 35 was in Chapter 9 How To Use The Will. I think that part of that is developing the will to take inspired action when that inspiration arrives!

Hope this helps!

Well it may be that thinking of a clean car has given you to the motivation and desire to get out there and clean out your car. If when thinking about driving around in a clean car, you get excited and motivated to clean it and you do, than thats LOA at work. If instead you think "god I have to clean my car, thats so much work, I can't be bothered" than your not actually going to feel like doing it.

I just cleaned my apartment. I initally didn't really feel like doing it but sitting in my dusted, polished place makes me feel lighter and richer. And my fish is very happy with his clean house too. Smile

Hi Paul,

Maybe I can explain it this way:

I think, the KNOWING has everything to do with faith. The faith that the universe will bring you everything what you desire and what you wish.
For example, thirty years ago we did not know the word IT. Now, at this very moment, there are 60% of the people living in the western world who are working in that same IT.

If there are 500 participants in this forum in 2011 to be a millionaire, and I hope at least that happens, then that is not at the expense of other people in this world. The universe will make sure that the money will be there.

If it becomes fashion this year that all new homes will be built out of wood, then the universe will make sure that sufficient wood is available.
In short, KNOW it and have faith in it.

Paul,

There may be more than one way to interpret this passage.

For me, one way is to simply notice how supply evolves and expands, just as Yeddah gave the example of people in IT. It wasn’t that long ago that there was no such thing as an occupation in IT.

Going back a little further we can see how the sport of basketball has expanded. In the 1950s the best of the league hardly made enough to keep up a meager living. Many had 2nd jobs off season, like selling cars or insurance. And even in baseball the average player made only a few times more than the average worker. Now, in both sports, the best make many millions a year, and the sports themselves generate or help create and support businesses that produce billions in revenue.

Or, look at J.K. Rowling and her incredible success with the Harry Potter books. Before she created them one could say they were a part of the “limitless riches in formless substance’. They certainly were NOT a part of “visible supply” because, until she wrote them they didn’t physically exist.

Or just look at what computers make possible. Now, for the most part, this technology didn't even exist less than 40 years ago, (or the cell phone, which has an even shorter history). And look at the opportunities and money these things have generated.

To me, another very interesting example is that of Arnold Schwarzenneggar. I don’t even recall the kinds of movies Arnold became famous for, existing before him. Sure, there were muscle man movies before him, but the Arnold movies seemed to cater to and fit him like a glove, often playing off his accent and personality.

To me, the interesting thing about Arnold seems to me to be, his desire to become “the number one box office draw in all of Hollywood” created from “formless substance” the connections, relationships and also the ideas for writers to create the screenplays that led to his many blockbuster movies.

Had he only looked to “visible supply” he would have had to conclude there was really no place in Hollywood for him, because no one was writing the kinds of movies he could star in and carry to blockbuster status.

"When I was very young, I visualized myself being and having what it was I wanted. Mentally I never had any doubts about it. The mind is really so incredible. Before I won my first Mr. Universe, I walked around the tournament like I owned it. The title was already mine. I had won it so many times in my mind that there was no doubt I would win it. Then, when I moved on to the movies, the same thing. I visualized myself being a successful actor and earning big money. I could feel and taste success. I just knew it would all happen." - Arnold Schwarzenegger
(from John Kehoe’s website http://www.learnmindpower.com/)

Excerpt from a 1976 interview between a Mr. Chandler and Arnold Schwarzenegger: Chandler asked Arnold what he was going to do after he retired from bodybuilding. "I'm going to be the number-one box-office star in all of Hollywood," he calmly responded. Remember, this was when few people outside bodybuilding knew he existed.

Chandler had to fight to keep a straight face as he was asking how he planned to do that. Arnold's explanation seemed "ridiculously simple," but Chandler never forgot it: "What you do is create a vision of who you want to be, and then live into that picture as if it were already true."
"What I am most happy about is that I can zero in on a vision of where I want to be in the future. I can see it so clearly in front of me when I daydream that it's almost a reality. Then I get this easy feeling, and I don't have to be uptight to get there because I already feel like I'm there, that it's just a matter of time." Arnold Schwarzenegger

Right now, your “visible supply” or what you can PHYSICALLY ‘see’ may not at all include millions in your bank accounts, or a healthy, fit body, or wonderful relationships, wonderful achievements, experiences and/or a terrific lifestyle. But, it seems to me, the idea is, if you truly desire such things they become REAL to source or become actual in ‘INvisible supply’. Then, your only ‘job’ is to become absolutely “in sync” with what is now a part of SOURCE. (With the caveat of “This or something even BETTER,” so as not to inadvertently cut yourself off to a better condition that you may not be able to fathom or currently have complete faith in.)

“When a successful financier was asked the secret of his great success, he said that as a young man he made a strong mental picture of what some day he would become. Day and night he concentrated his powers upon that one goal. There was no feverish haste, no nervous overreaching, and no squandering of mental and physical power, but a strong, reposeful, never-wavering determination to make that picture of his youth a living reality. Such is the power of concentration; such is the secret of success.” Wellington Rodriques, from page 9 of ‘The Five Essential Traits Of Success’

“When you focus on "the feeling of the wish fulfilled", instead of getting caught up in the details of ‘how the wish will be fulfilled’ then meditation brings peace.
Good meditation leaves one feeling exhilarated and excited, full of possibilities, ready for the day ahead, expecting something good to happen.” - Charlie Curtis

Consider also: People are now noticing what appears to be a limited supply of oil, which means what they're desiring is an unlimited supply,... but not necessarily of oil, but of 'something' that will take care of their energy needs. Well, from what I understand, there are people working on several cleaner, more desireable energy sources than oil, the likes of which will change human experience as much as going from an agricultural society to an industrial one changed humanity.

In other words, the change and expansion will be unprecedented, and so will the opportunities be unimaginably wonderful.

“In the mental realm, enter at once into full enjoyment of the things you want. “Whatsoever things ye ask for when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them,” said Jesus. See the things you want as if they were actually around you all the time. See yourself as owning and using them. Make use of them in imagination just as you will use them when they are your tangible possessions. Dwell upon your mental picture until it is clear and distinct, and then take the mental attitude of ownership toward everything in that picture. Take possession of it, in mind, in the full faith that it is actually yours. Hold to this mental ownership. Do not waiver for an instant in the faith that it is real.

It is a natural law that like causes always produce like effects, and, therefore, any man or woman who learns to do things in this certain way will infallibly get rich.” - Wallace Wattles ‘The Science of Getting Rich’

“I constantly visualized what it was going to be like when I walked into the Olympic Stadium at the Opening Ceremonies. I could see the crowds waving at me. I could see the flags and the balloons. I could hear the roar of the crowd, the fireworks, the Olympic Hymn. I could feel the cold wind blowing snow onto my cheeks. I could feel the tears of joy streaming down my face. I could feel the goose bumps running up my back and over my shoulders. I thought about it all the time, even while jogging, while lifting weights, in the shower, etc. It was my dream! And when I finally entered the Olympic arena, it was just the same only 100 times better.” - Ruben Gonzalez, Three-Time Olympian athlete

"If you can imagine what you please, and if the forms of your thoughts are as vivid as the forms of nature, you are by virtue of the power of your imagination master of your fate. Your imagination is you yourself, and the world as your imagination sees it is the real world." - Neville Goddard

Abraham-Hicks say that as soon as we truly desire something -- it could be something physical and tangible like a certain home, a certain amount of money, etc., or it could be something less tangible, like wonderful relationships or insights or wisdom – as soon as we truly desire something it becomes MANIFEST in Source, and our ‘work’ is to simply become ATTUNED to it completely, and simply then ALLOW it to become real in our life. And we can know how harmonious or attuned we are to what we want, by how we FEEL. (Consider Ruben’s story above.)

"Hold a picture of yourself long and steadily enough in your mind's eye and you will be drawn toward it. Picture yourself vividly as winning and that alone will contribute immeasurably to success. Great living starts with a picture, held in your imagination, of what you would like to do or be." -- Dr. Harry Emerson Fosdick (1878-1969, minister)

“What you seek is seeking you.” -- Dr. Robert Anthony

“Tending to your own thoughts and feelings and letting yourself become the perfect match to your desires brings you joy and peace. And I promise you that your own joy and peace are the keys to everything -- EVERYTHING -- you want, for yourself and others.” - Rebecca Fine

“Paul said, "Pray without ceasing." Do not supplicate and beg God to give you what you need, but realize, affirm, and absolutely know that your supreme mind is functioning right now in God-Mind itself and that your thought substance and the spiritual substance of the Most High are amalgamated and blended into one perfect whole that is now being made manifest in the very thing you are asking for.” – Charles Fillmore, in ‘Teach Us to Pray’

“Everything is about Law of Attraction. Not law of going out and getting it. It's not law of deserving. It is not law of earning. It is just law of achieving vibrational harmony with that which you want, and then it cannot not come. It must come to you.” Abraham-Hicks
