Is this an oportunity or this is the competitive mind?

There is here a big factory, with international trade, in cold rooms.

Until now, they are buying to a company that is in my bussiness, in other words, a competitor of mine, one product.
Because one of the owners took touch with me some time ago for other matter, he asked me if we could make that product for them. They are not willing to get a better price, but solve some problems thay have had with my competitor: Some delays in the purchases and specially, some random quality problems. For that, they have to do an aditional proccess to the product, to ensure properties before using it. As i have noticed, they are so tired, that next step to them is to import the product from outside the country.

Unless this is my bussiness, we produce other products and rigth now we do not have the specific machinery needed to make the product, but with it we could produce it on time and with good quality.

Maybe not all of you know that my company is now, almost in bankrupcy. Any way, I will try to take the deal. What I will try to do because they know our way of work for other products, is getting from them (maybe with some insure police) in advance the money needed to buy that machinery and pay partally along the products they would buy.
For now, I do not know if that will be possible, but I should try because I do not have any other option right now.

Meanwhile, along with it, I am uncomfortable because it sounds to me that this might be a competitive way of bussiness. If that is true, the deal can be a lost in the future, as Mr. Wattles says. But if it is not, because my doubting, it can make me spoil an opportunity in this critic moment.

I would like some opinions, under the light of SOGR.

Hi all.

I want to tell you, that until now I have not had the opportunity to make my proposal to the customer because the manager has been out of town. But that gave me the chance to tell you about my doubting about.

From the messages I received to my post, at this moment I do not hold any doubt that my intend to get that deal is along the certain way and in a creative mind. I think that knowing is fundamental for the acting like an advancing person and proposing the deal like an increase for we all.

Still left fears about some people in this market already may know about my financial affairs for my going to a smaller location in June and that can seem risky giving me any in advance, but I know that feeling depends on the confidence I´ll show in the meeting. The important is that I will not be acting, because now I am sure it is good for all!.

Another thought here is don't discount the benefit your competitor has if this account switches to you. Perhaps having extra time will enable them to do something better for them:

- take a vacation
- create time to handle another large account

You don't really need to figure out "his benefit" out of this. True faith and belief suggests that what happens will be for the higher good of everyone. Remember, there are unlimited wealth channels available to all of us.

As long as you are thinking and acting in the Certain Way you are going to stay on the creative plane.

I my business we have competition also. I think this does exist in all business. What is important for us is to offer quality service for quality pricing. In other word a "fair trade" or in Wally's word "give more in value that you receive in money"
4 Years ago we decided to invest in a piece of equipment that provide customer with a service to no one elses offer. Off course we acquire new customer because of it and those customers came fro our competition. This new service aloowed our customers to save greatly on the long run. So all is good.

I think you are not being competitive, you have not gone out to undermine anyone else or even gone looking for this. You could take this work, and hold an attitude of blessing the people you are concerned about.
my experience of this sort of thing was in my personal life. I was in a very stressful situation, with a lodger/friend who was behaving in an abusive way to me. I eventually realized, I had to have him out of my living space, and it did happen against his will, but I was still wishing him well. Afterwards he started to sort his life out and is doing much better. It was a big lesson. I wish you clarity and many opportunities, and thank you for putting up your post.

From you quote above I believe that you are creating something that your potential client doesn't have; which is a quality product! I believe that is very creative!!!

I have spent many years in manufacturing as a cost accountant and I can assure you that quality is much more important than price!

By the way - I am putting in a swimming pool and spa in my home. I got quotes from two pool contractors, both of who I have known for some time. One a former customer and another a fellow Rotarian. I told both of them what I wanted, one of them came in with a lower price but the specs were different than what I asked for! I went with the higher price - but am getting what I asked for!!!!!

Any way, what bother me more is that this deal doesnot seem to create any thing. This is not a new business or product, this is not increasing the market, if I can get it, someone else (the current supplier) would lost that sell. So, I only would take the place of other in my benefit (And God knows how much I need it).

Of course, if I do not try, other would do (here or outside), and, for the customer, the more they get would be not more delays and extra procceses. In that way it would be OK.

What make me shake was this sentence I read today in the book:

"But remember that your thought must be held upon the creative plane. You are never for an instant to be betrayed into regarding the supply as limited or into acting on the moral level of competition.

I don't see how this would be considered competitive - I see it as action to be taken in response to your thoughts! By our thoughts we create what we want, by our actions we recieve what we want!

It sounds like opportunity to me. Continue to focus on what you really want (your hearts desires). How does that feel? If it feels good - go for it.

Make sure you don't get involved in trying to control "how" this shows up. While attempting to get an advance for the equipment you need, etc. is a great idea it is important to be thinking of this in the right way. In other words, keep your thoughts off of scarcity and lack and on what you want.

It sounds to me like you have had some "inspired" thoughts - congratulations! These lead to inspired action. I am very excited for you and your opportunity.
