Whilst I am quite new to the course and the book, many of the principles are familiar to me. I have trained in NLP and been a believer in positive thinking for a long time. I have been working for some time now on visualising myself having achieved the goals I set for myself, I try and and do this every day. This is something I want to work on and improve. As part of my working life I coach individuals, its amazing how often they are stuck because they cant 'see' what it is they want to achieve. I have also found that if the goal is too big it can prevent people from visualising it at all, maybe they dont dare to dream it or simply cant associate with it from their previous experience. My question for the group is what are the visualisation techniques you use? Do you find that changing the mental image effects the outcome, even fine tuning by changing intensity or colour? Best wishes, David.

Hi WELCOME. Have you signed up for the course? If not I suggest that you do as Rebecca has done an amazing job of putting Wallys' thoughts into an easy logical format. How to visualise how to be grateful how to forgive etc.... It is all there. My only tip! Once you totally accept the Formless wonder{insert your personal preferrence here} the rest is a doddle. As is evident from the posts on this forum It ain't easy but if you truly want to change your life stick with it. I never cease to wonder as to how I got on prior to these teachings. I think I was always an honest genuine person but some of the huge blunders that I made along the way could have been avoided if I had this knowledge. Look forward to you reporting back through your LL's Abundance Croz from OZ There are no traffic jams on the extra mile.

Thanks Croz, I am doing the course. My interest is in other peoples interpretations. I know some people who visualise hings in vivid colours, others in mono. If the mono people cant create the colour, I wonder does this make them potentially less effective? Best wishes, David.

Hi Laurie A doddle is "A walk in the park" "Easy" etc... It"s a very English word and thinking about it I don"t know why I used that particular word because I am sure that I would not have used it for at least 20 years. Fascinating! Any way it has been instrumental in us communicating so that may be the reason. Hi David. Re technicolor visions, I'm not sure. As has been discussed here there are no right or wrong ways to perceive your vision. If you do a search in the archives this very question has been researched in very fine detail. I personally try and keep everything simple. Once I had experienced the amazing power of these teachings I just don't question things too much at all. Thats not to say that I am not interested but things seem to happen much better if your mind is truly receptive. Phil has put this very eloquently on a recent post where he says, you do not have to understand how something works to know that it works. e.g. microchips, gravity, electricity, dvd"s etc. not knowing how they work does not stop us believing that they work. So my friend just keep plugging away until you get the proof that it does work and I assure you that WHY DOES IT WORK becomes very unimportant. Do not try and rush the process, I find everyday that things happen to confirm my beliefs, the funny thing is that had they happened 6 months ago I would not have known their relevance. So this is a journey with many stations, you have bought your ticket now enjoy the ride. I appreciate that your question refers to getting people to accept that visions are possible. Here is a little test for them all as stated in SOGR. Get all your students to pick a brand and colour of car and to lock in on that vehicle and to report back to you next week everything they saw in connection with that vehicle , you will be amazed at the stories you hear. This is just to show what happens when you focus on a vision. There are actually no more of these vehicles but now you are focused it just blows you away as to how many you see. I think that this is the same with our own visions there are actually no more or less opportunities but because we are focused we see them more clearly and the more we see the better we become at accepting them. Thanks Croz, Thats a really useful reply. On reflection I am not overly surprised that mine is a much asked question, I will certainly take your suggestions on board. I had an amazing circumstance of your car example. I have set my sights on the new Aston Martin DB9, there cant be more than a handful in the UK at the moment. I was thinking about it the other day and how much I would like to see one in the flesh, I nipped in to my local little village to buy something, and (you guessed it!) there was one in the car park. It was exactly like one had been delivered for my persobnal inspection! And yes I really do want one now, what a beauty! Best wishes, David.

Hi Croz, I just read in Rebecca's latest newsletter that you are now helping to coach people? I am certainly interested and would like to know how you are doing this. I am in new Zealand. Look forward to your reply.

Regarding seeing the car you want, when you have a fixed idea of something you aim for you may see it all over the place. I believe this is why opportunity is "made easier" by following SOGR principles. The car would probably have been where you saw it regardless, but if you weren't aiming to get one yourself you wouldn't have noticed it. The same holds true for any opportunities - there is a never ending supply of them but unless you look for them you won't even be aware of them let alone take them up. And regarding bringing stuff to you from "thining substance", I have needed to make an online purchase of something for my business but didn't have enough credit on my VISA card to get it last week. When I checked my card balance at the weekend, the credit card company had "automatically" increased my credit limit without me even asking them to! Slàinte Mhath

David What I find useful is 'celebrating' things that are close to what I want. I am more kinisthetic so here's what I mean... Say I want a new client. I list some of the qualities I want that client to have then everytime I get a client with at least one of those qualities I 'celebrate' and really 'enjoy' the fact that someone with that quality showed up for me. The more I 'practice' this the easier it comes 'in the moment' as it happens, then at the end of the day I make a list of all the things that have shown up that day that have been little miles stones towards my bigger goal. Does that make sense? Warmly,

Great advice I can take on board. Quick practical application. I went and test drove my 1st sports car (ever) last weekend - now - my mind is being blown having just read what you posted Croz and David - this is why .... When I first saw the Nissan 350Z - the new one - when it came out I thought "Oh I love the look of that thing".... I got enamoured with a brushed steel colour I saw it in - similiar to the Audi I like - but I like the shape of the Nissan more .... Anyway ... I saw one driving on the road in the exact colour I liked.... then once I started getting into the Practical Genius course - I found a car sales advert lying on the train seat - there was my car in the exact colour I like ... Now guess what colour the car was that I test drove last weekend - YEP pewter silver! - Now it was not the exact same brushed steel colour I saw - but it was pretty close. I really faced my fear going to test drive that car. My next challenge is to go and test drive some more cars I like ... but as we say around here ... do it when the action is inspired ... no need for fear ... get inspired .. action will then flow ..... Cheers gents. D. B. xtremely blessed, David
