When God/Universe lets us go through a wildfire.....

Hi everyone

I've been reading One Minute Millionaire by Mark Victor Hansen and Robert G. Allen lately, and there is this lovely analogy about wildfires that really struck a chord in me - I feel like it's exactly what I'm going through at the moment.

It's about how the seeds in a pinecone are only released in a wildfire. How the fire is part of natures renewal process, with heat that is so intense that the cones explose and release the seeds for a brand new forest.

Often, we have wildfires of our own - times of intense pain, difficulity, fear, heatache - that are a struggle while it lasts, but are a vital part of our growth and renewal.

The biggest thing I think is to not be angry at God for the wildfire, but to thank him, and for the way that he seems to step back and let us burn for a while, before putting us out.

They are painful, but so vitally important. They burn out the rubbish inside us, and enable the seeds of strength and character to be sown.

I also think that without the pain and heartache once in while, we'd have nothing to compare happiness too.

that's right, and if I was a rich kid for example, I'd have no sense of accomplishment.
