Staying on track

Hi!

I was recently introduced to SOGR and was blown away by the principles it teaches, it all makes so much sense! I have been incorporating SOGR principles into my life and started taking the PG course and am really feeling so much more happy and peaceful in my life and just so grateful for everything.

Anyway, my question is - I am wondering how everyone stays on track. I feel like I need to have a basic plan for what I do each day to stay focused. Some of you wake up and say affirmations or have written down your CMI's and read then daily while others have made a collage of pictures that represent your CMI, and lots of other ways. I guess that I just want to know what I can do to stay focused and on track. Do most of you read SOGR every day? Do you write down your CMI's and date them? I know that everyone has different ways of incorporating SOGR into their lives, I just want to create habits that will help me be successful and am looking forward to hearing all your suggestions. Thanks a BUNCH!

Hi Kimalot,
I use to look at my written version and my picture collage of my cmi daily but I found doing that I would look at it or read it and think "oh I havent' done that yet", thus turning my focus to the lack. In the past when I've forgotten about my written cmi or picture board, and found it months later and took at look at it, I had achieved or got most things on the list. The things I hadn't got were the ones I had been focusing on to much. Where I had been trying to push them along. Eveyrthing I had gotten, I had asked for, than just let it go and let it arrive, even forgotten I had asked for it! Its been a good lesson for me. Its has showen me that the more I try to control the process, the harder it seems to be. I'm learning to let go and just let everything turn out the way it should be. Which I know is way better than how I could get it to turn out if I tried to control it.
I listen to the cd of SOGR a few times every week, I stay positive and happy no matter what, express gratitude for every good thing that comes my way and remind myself of what I am and what I have achieved. Occasionally I get out my picture board or my written version but mostly I just concentrate on creating the feelings of having allready accomplished it all.

Hope that helps,

Shannon

I've only been a member since February, but I find the most important thing for me to stay on track is daily gratitude. If life's too busy or I have too many people around me all the time I need to "escape" somewhere quiet, close my eyes, think about all the wonderful things in my life and also get a "feeling" of my CMI. With gratitude follows positive thoughts. My CMI is a word document on my computer, where I'll paste images, too. I don't feel I need to read it or to look at it every day.
Btw, welcome, Kim!
You'll see some wonderful changes in your life!

Hi Kim,
For me, Rebecca's course for Practical Geniuses has been more help in keeping me on track that I could have wished for.

The practicality and power of the course is enhanced so much by these discussion forums, which form an integral part of the course.

Consistent daily practice, reading the book and joining in these discussions are what works for me.

And as Stella said "the most important thing for me to stay on track is daily gratitude."

I start each morning doing my Practical Geniuses lesson and reading all the new posts in this forum. I always read at least one post that is truly inspiring, which helps me to start the day with a positive attitude. (Thank you everyone!!)

At the end of each day, I write in my gratitude journal. This helps to wash away any negative thoughts I may have picked up during the day. I have also noticed that I sleep much better now. Smile

I posted this the same day to answer your question before you asked it and also to pose the question myself. Perhaps it's just a coincidence. Hope it helps. I know everybody elses comments have...:

SOGR Talking points:
Ever find yourself with 2 minutes free in a distracted day and you feel like you need to focus on the certain way?

Well, so do I. So I developed (plagiarized from Sam76 and others) these talking points. Each one gets me back on track as I focus on the concept.

Gratitude
Abundance
Blessing
Faith
Certain
Vision (CMI)
Effortless
Joy
Inspired Action

Seems long but once you get used to it your mind will fill in each concept based upon your experience with the full SOGR text. As an added benefit the acrostic spells: GABF CVEJI. Which means abundant wealth in the language of… okay not really.

I’m sure others have come up with similar memory/centering devices. Please share them with me…

Begin each day before you do anything major by taking some time out to remember what your grateful for and get grateful. This will then remind you what your here for and what you want. There are many ways to stay on track and obviously you should ultimately do what feels right. I find once a week reviewing my CMI, breaking it down into bigger goals and then tackling each goal per week with whichever smaller tasks i see fit at the time, and eventually those bigger tasks are passed and the CMI realised in true form. Try different ways yourself and monitor/see which way feels right for you.

Living like we mean it!
