I also have some questions about CMI. Is it too confusing an impression to formless substance to envision both being retired and my current job to be as I would like it to be? My ultimate desire is to be retired. However while I'm still on my current job, I would like to be happy, effective and efficient. Can I impress both at the same time?

Also, I'm finding it hard to be exact and specific. For example, I desire a house with a swimming pool, lush garden, and fabulous view.
It keeps shifting around in my mind whether that view is of a mountain or of the ocean, and about the layout and decor of the house. Is it enough to just have the general idea of the house, pool, garden and view and to feel what it will be like living there, or do I have to get very specific about every detail? I think the ideal is probably beyond my ability to imagine and I might limit my good by being too specific with my limited view.

What can you tell me about this?

Thank you!!!

Hey Caroline,

This statement really resonates with me too! When you are living a certain way, it's not so much the particular image in my mind, I find, but the quality of my thinking, the feeling of abundance and joy that can translate into any one of my CMIs, the feeling that I AM rich, and doing what feels good at any particular moment.

Hi Caroline and Kevin,

It's interesting that I was definitely being tested about living and thinking in a certain way over the last couple of weeks - with an important deadline of this Thursday, Wednesday really since I'm travelling Thursday.

Instead of getting down, as I would have "up 'til now" - I spent hours each day searching the real estate web pages for very wealthy areas of Vancouver, BC. Interestingly, the higher the price tag (read $6 or 7 million instead of just $2 or $3 million), the happier and lighter I felt - definitely having fun kept my head in the positive.

And, I also realized that my CMI was not as clear as I would have liked in terms of this particular situation. I was finally able to get it clear - just about 10 minutes before I got the call that everything had all come together in favour of my being able to take the courses I want to take. And, of course, how could they not pan out? Taking those courses will allow me to do so much good for not just myself but for many others, too. I think that's what helped me see TRUTH.

Enjoy your riches :-)

Cheers,
wendyht

Rebecca you said:
No, a CMI becomes REALITY when you REALLY believe it. Big Grin

What about through normal channels? That takes time, does it not? Isnt' it like a seed you plant and know that it will grow into the likeness of what you think?

Is that how a CMI becomes when you really possess it and believe that you have it already?

Hi guys,

Has anyone experienced this tyep of feeling?

I got really discouraged one day and felt as if what I had (my CMI) was taken away from me. I actually felt that I possessed it and it was taken away.

Of course it was just my feelings, but it was the same as if my CMI (part of which is my big red Toyota Tacoma) was taken from me.

Is that how a CMI becomes when you really possess it and believe that you have it already?

The discouragement did not last long, (one day was all) thanks to what I have learned from SOGR and Rebecca.

Would love some comments.

Going through some turmoil this week, I find I have rewritten my CMI into two general and simple statements.
I want to live in a pleasant environment.
I want to take good care of my health and my body.

This is the basic thing for me. To feel good about myself and about what I see and feel and hear all around me.

I think the video on the update page was instrumental also. Thank you Rebecca! I have so many wishes and they are all very clear and very specific but too many things. Now that I have boiled it down into the basic desire, the certain way action is so easy to take.

Why do you think you need to choose just one?My house in Seattle had a view of Puget Sound AND the snow-covered Olympic Mountains beyond. Big Grin

The whole point of the CMI is to feel good and have fun. Making it difficult kind of spoils that effect. Wink JUST PLAY WITH ALL THIS!

As I've said many times here before: Be as specific as you can and feel great. But when you get so specific your mind starts to tell you: No way that can happen, then back off. Back up to where it feels wonderful.

Hi Diesel, I think that being happy, effective and efficient are choices that you can make regardless of the situation - so don't really have to be part of the CMI. And being happy, effective and efficient are all part of acting in the certain way. Acting in the certain way where you are now is important to reach your CMI, which is something that you contemplate in your liesure time.

The more specific time you are about your CMI the better, alway include "this or something better" to your CMI!

I think you clarify the point very well!
