How does a housewife get rich?

Hello everyone. I am an unemployed married housewife with 5 children. I have been unemployed for about 14 years. My husband is a liitle old fashioned. He always says that he doesn't want me to have to 'slave' at a job and that he will always take care of me and the kids and he has been doing just that and I love hime vrey much for that. I also homeschool my 5 kids, my oldest is 15 and my youngest is 7. I feel very fortunate to be able to be home with my children everyday rather than having to ship them off to the baby sitter or to public school because both parents have to work. I have a degree in accounting but I didn't practice it for very long before I got out of the work field and started raising a family. My husband does well financially but sometimes we feel the crunch of making ends meet when things are slow. I've read SOGR several times and I'm an absolute believer of the system but I was wondering how will it work for someone in my position? Is it possible that my thoughts could bring my husband more clients or more work if I hold that image in the formless substance? Or will it only work in attracting things directly pertaining to me and somehow I'll end up back in the workfield because my husband had a change of heart and he doesn't mind me working again? I would very much like to have a lot more money coming in so I don't have to worry about paying bills. I would really appreciate some of your thoughts on this situation.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post.

Peace!

Antoinette

Hi Antoinette,

Basically, it seems you want to know how to manifest more money, in some good way that fits your lifestyle of choice.

From what I understand you don’t have to construct the HOW of you having a lot more money. You just have to assume the STATE (the FEELING, how you would feel IF you already had a lot more money) to attract or manifest the condition.

Note in Chapter 8 of SOGR Wattle’s says, “Enter at once into the full enjoyment of the things you want,…” I have read of some very remarkable outcomes for people (including me) who have practiced this.

Also, you wrote:

You may just be using the term ‘worry’ colloquially, and not really mean it. But if you DO mean you worry then, I believe you need to understand that when you worry you actually attract the condition you worry about. (Just as if you were to ‘Enter at once’ into the peace, relief, joy and other good feelings you’d have if you already HAD the money you want, you attract or manifest the money).

In other words, you want to get to where your state of being (how you’re feeling) is in alignment with you having what you want. (Like Attracts Like. The Law of Attraction.)

Also, one of the reasons you should not dwell much on the HOW you’ll get the money is, when you are wondering HOW you will get the money you are usually focused on the fact of not having the money. Therefore, you will be attracting ‘not having the money.’

Of course, if you were just calmly and peacefully wondering how it might happen, and feeling DELIGHTED about the possible ways it might happen, this would be ok. (Offhand, I can think of a few ways you could get the money, and never have to leave your home, unless you just wanted to.)

To me, from all that I’ve studied, a major key to making this work is to get yourself aligned or in harmony with what you want, and you can tell if you’re doing this by noticing how you’re feeling. You need to practice feeling what it’s like to already have the plenty of money (including plenty of EXTRA money) you want.

Hmmmm.....

While we are advised not to be concerned with the how a couple of suggestions that could turn into inspired action might help! Smile

Design a course for your home schoolers that could be sold to other home schoolers based on the priniples of SOGR!

Most high schools, colleges and I suspect home schoolers don't provide much practical education about finances such as budgeting, balancing a check book, etc. Might be another course that you could design not only for home schoolers but for public schools!

Hi Antoinette

I agree totally with what Phil and Tom have written here, so I'm only going to add my own interpretation to the same theme.

Regarding your thoughts on attracting more clients or work for your husband, at the end of the day, YOU are a MAGNET for YOUR thoughts. I don't accept that you can create someone else into a magnet for your thoughts. So yes, it will only work in attracting things directly pertaining to you.

As for being back in the workfield for whatever reason, that is entirely up to what you want to do. However, will being back in the workfield make you rich, it's possible, but I doubt it! It's more likely a lot of work and effort that is probably going to make someone else rich.

The context of what I'm writing here of course, is that "YOU" want to get rich, so you may as well just get on with it.

I don't have a fabulous idea like what Tom has mentioned, geez, the possiblities in that one. Your own hours, your own boss, at home and probably a huge market. Phew! Others here may have some ideas as well, but pointedly, you would need to decide if you could enjoy doing it.

That is a biggie, doing something that you love and enjoy doing. I mean to get paid for doing something that you enjoy doing, geez, thats not a job, thats a lifestyle! And because it's something you enjoy doing, you also become passionate about it, and because you become passionate about it you start feeling, thinking, being and becoming it. In becoming all of this, you become as Phil says, "aligned or in harmony with what you want".

“The Universe responds to how you feel.” Esther Hicks

Too many people see the word "rich" and forget about the be, get or become. But for me, it is a key to the whole SOGR principle. As we say here in TSOGR community, "If you are the person you want to be, than it is easy to have what you want to have, and do what you want to do".

Seek out your desire, whatever it may be, then become the person you want or need to be first. Then become rich!

Wally does advise to take action where we are now; as you are home schooling your kids that sounds like a nice place to start!

I have a nice who is home schooling her daughter. She also does artistic concrete overlay and concrete staining, her 16 year old daughter helps her with that work while learning how to make a living and run a business.

I think that getting your kids involved in making money with you would really be a great education for them!

Now that's an inspirational thought!

Brings to mind the time that the Robert Kyosaki-Rich Dad Poor Dad 'phenomenon' hit NZ if not the world. One of the educational impacts to come out of that was the 'Cash Flow' game.

Thank you everyone for responding to my post. I'll keep everything you all said in mind. And Phil, I won't focus on the how and I'll continue to live and act as if I'm already rich.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post.

Peace.
