I am reasonably new to SOGR but find it very pleasing to wrap my mind around it's teachings..
My question is, should one manifest a winning lottery ticket...

thanks John

Hello John,
Just wanted to say hello to a fellow South Carolinian. I am pretty new to the SOGR as well. I just discovered this forum today. From what I get out of the book so far, you want to focus on the things you will do with the money when you have it. I.E. picture the car you'll be driving, the house you'll be living in etc. The lottery ticket may be one way that will get you to the riches you want, but it may come in a completly different way as well.

Since winning the lottery means competing with everyone else who buys a ticket, it sounds like the competitive mind rather than the creative mind. You are creating nothing, and you are not giving more in use value than you take in cash value. Buying a lottery ticket requires no personal growth on your part.

I see personal growth and creative effort as integral to the SOGR process, so winning the lottery isn't even on my radar. But hey, if you want to split your winnings, YEAH, BABY, YEAH! Wink

I have different thought though.
What happen the huge portion of lottery income going to the school district? Lot of kids benefit from lottery too. The huge taxes government received keep the local government running as well. Every business is a compete business with someone. Just my 2 cents. Smile

"Should?"

A lottery is only a particular MEANS by which "riches" can arrive. Pay attention to WHAT you desire and let go of the HOW.

Mr. Wattles tells us that part is not up to us.

Here's another quotation from the mini-ebook, The Shocking Truth about Action, that you can get from today's Certain Way Between Issues Update:

"Someone once asked me, 'What's the hardest part to creating what you want?' My answer was, 'Learning to stop figuring out HOW you will get what you want.'

"If you try to figure out how you will get what you want, you limit yourself to what your ego can see and do."

Better to let "All The Mind There Is" figure out that part, right? Wink

(If you didn't get the Update in your email today, make sure you're subscribed to The Certain Way. You can also get the ebook on the new Update page:

InspiredLA,

I don't really agree. As I said, I desire to win the lottery as well, however, I love sharing. I know I'll get what I desire in more than one way, but as I said I desire the money simply to have the money. The money is an end itself in my world. I simply desire the money to have it, and nothing more. However, I do agree with that I am not giving more in use value than I am taking in cash value so I may change my mind. More life to all, less to none and that doesn't exactly fit the lotery.

Great point indeed Laurie. Thanks for the help.
