It's the little things that give us faith for the big things, yes?

I went to have my hair cut during my lunch break the other day. Didn't have time to grab a bite to eat and I was thinking about the rusks I had at the office and how good it would be to have one right now...

So when I sit down and they bring me my usual coffee at my hairdresser...lo and behold, it came with a rusk. Big Grin

WHAT IS A RUSK?
Sweet raised bread dried and browned in an oven. So basically hard crisp bread. Usually dunked in tea or coffee. :-)

I have no idea what a rusk is, Karin, but I think it's really cool that you got one! Big Grin

Hehe, must be. I'll have to ask my friend that used to live in South Africa! They sound yummy!

Karin,
I was standing in a salon yesterday (waiting for my second facial ever -- glorious!) when I saw a line of hair products called "Rusk." I thought of you and giggled.

Love and blessings,
Rachel

Well, for us in Australia Rusks are made from putting vegemite (a salty spread) on bread and baking in the oven until they are hard. They are generally given to children, especially if they are teething.

(Hope you aren't teething Karin!)

LOL, no I'm not teething! *giggle*

Google images for "South African rusks" to get a better idea of our version.
