For years, I have read many self-help books and have studied the ideas and philosophies of great men like-- Norman Vincent Peale, Napoleon Hill, Tony Robbins, Brian Tracy, Zig Ziglar, Earl Nightingale, Jim Rohn Mark V Hansen, Robert Allen, Jack Canfield, Henry Cloud, Tim LaHaye, just to name a few -- and also some great women authors like Joyce Meyer, Beth Moore, Rhonda Byrne, etc. All of these people have added something to my life and for that I am thankful. Yet, I continued to feel that I was missing something and I asked my Creator to show me what it was that I was missing out on. Soon after that a friend of mine recommended I read The Science of Getting Rich. I found the website 10 days ago and I have devoured the book 3 times. I ordered Rebecca's audio of the book and now I have joined SOGR Practical Geniuses. I am excited about what I will learn here. I am applying all that I have already learned, and somehow I just know that this is what I have been looking for! It did ring true to me, too, each time I read the book. My inner being identified with what was written on each page and I felt that I had "come home" so to speak! It did resonate inside of me. Up until now, I wondered why I had such a strong desire to be rich and yet that desire was being unfulfilled in my life. Now, I know that I can change all of that and have the tools and the power at my disposal to do so.

Welcome to the course and to these forums Grammie!

I too have read many authors who echo the principles of SOGR. For me the book by Wally and the course by Rebecca are leading me to where I expect to be. This is the shortest path to travel!

I am grateful for what I have and for what I will have in the future!

Yesterday, Mon 12/17, I started the class sessions. Guess I am over eager; Rebecca says
to do no more than one session at a time. I first took that to mean one per day. However, since I
have been studying this type of "stuff" for many
years now, and felt I was ready to take on several
sessions yesterday. I had the whole day to myself
and took my time and listened to each session several times and dwelt on it. Having already read SOGR 3 times before I got Rebecca's audios
and having listened to her read it yet another time. I have begun to formulate my vision--my mental picture and have sat for a while thinking about it, have written out a detailed description of it, have made a visual of it.
As I have gone through my day today, I was able
to keep my clear mental image very near to me,
so that when I felt myself begin to waiver, I was able to recall it quickly to my mind.
This generated a tremendous feeling -- great satisfaction -- like never before! The freedom
that it gave me to do my activities in my networking today was great! I felt more relaxed
and enjoyed what I was doing, and had fun! I
had better responses from the people I talked to today. This is very encouraging to me.

I welcome any encouragement that any of you might offer to me. When I can offer encouragement to other, I wish to do so.

Hi again Grammie,

Like you because of reading the other authors I knew that SOGR was the real deal when I first read it. But it took me a while to sign up for the course and took me a while to go through the course. You are doing really well! Sounds like you have had some A-Ha moments!

By the way, have you been doing the life labs? Some of the questions caused me to do a lot of thinking to the point that I had to take a day or two to sink in.

This is very E-X-C-I-T-I-N-G to me!

Kevsky Thank you for your "Much Blessings" and your wonderful quote from Dale Carnegie. I love
Dale Carnegie. He and Norman Vincent Peale were
the two first authors I remember in my readings in my long journey to this point.

Thanks also to Chin Wail-loong for your encouraging comments. I will let you know my
progress, as eager as I am for it, so will I also be eager to share what happens along the way.

To Tom Strong, my gratitude to you for sharing with me again. It does sound like we've been along a similar path in life. I have just recently taken a mindset course and the teacher spoke often along the same lines of Mr. Wattles' book. However, the teacher deviated and went so far afield at times, I was thoroughly lost at times. When I read SOGR the first time, as I said before I felt like I was "coming home".
I was primed for this through many recent readings. I DO NOT watch TV. I am an avid reader. Sometimes I read 6 books a week. Therefore, Mr. Wattles very short book was a quick read through the first time. The next several times I read it have been much slower so
I could absorb the essence and intensity of what he was saying. OH MY! Yes, I have had many A-HA moments in the last 12 days.
And, YES, Tom, I am doing the Life Labs. It
did not take me very long to do the first 6, because the things I've done just prior to this were very similar in content and were quickly recalled. Sessions 7 and 8 on Formless into Form took longer to dwell there and let it sink in -- there were some definite A-HA's in there!
<|:-) Session 9 as you may recall was on Guard Your Thoughts, something that I have been practicing now for about 3 years, shutting out the negative in my life. The Life Lab on that was very easy for me SINCE I DO NOT watch TV, especially the news!. The only time I watch it is when my husband or my friend tells me to watch something. Then I watch the segment and only watch it once and then go about my business of being happy without the THING!
NOW --- I had written out my clear definite image in part when I read the book the first time. Just jotted down some thoughts. As I read the next several times through it, I added
statements, sat and contemplated how I felt about my life, what I wanted and how it would be when I got what it was that I was saying that I wanted. Then analyzed it and took it apart and re-built it several times. It is still not ALL that I want to put forth in my thinking.
I AM ENJOYING the JOURNEY, anticipating the JOY of each new CHAPTER of my life.

TO ALL OF YOU -- I welcome your responses and encouragement. It is with gratitude that I can share my thoughts with you because quite frankly, there are NO like-minded people in my associations here locally--none that I've found.
Most of the people I attempt to share my thoughts with, don't have a clue about anything that I talk about.

Hi Grammie,
Thanks so much for sharing your enthusiasm and experiences - I'm so glad you're getting so much out of SOGR - it makes me want to study it all over again, noting my resistances and really seeing if this is the way for me.
Wish you continued success

Welcome! So happy for you that you found this site........

Reading, and listening to, the Science of Getting Rich really brought home the teachings I had previously from folks like Joyce Meyer, Beth Moore, Copeland, etc. I find that this reinforces principles I've heard all of my life that were set in a different context. I get the feeling that's happening for you as well!!

BTW - it's great to see someone from Bozeman on the list. We have a second home up at Moonlight Basin in Big Sky!

Regards,
T

Krazy K
My favorite SOGR principle so far is:
"A person can form things in his thought, and, by impressing his thought upon formless substance, can cause the thing he thinks about to be created."

The principles are written in the grammatical third person -- as though it is someone else,
SO WHAT I DO is change the principle to put me in the picture! So now the principle is my principle and it sounds like this:
"I can form my own thoughts and impress my thoughts upon formless substance, and cause my thought to be created!"
When I do this, I can get EXCITED about it, because it becomes REAL for ME.

Try doing that and let me know how that works for you!
Blessings and Succes!

Hi Jan (Mermaid)
Read my response to KrazyK. It explains how
I make this personal for me.
I do encourage you to study this again.

You commented "noting my resistances and really seeing if this is the way for me".

That makes me wonder if you are believing or just tire-kicking to see if it's any good! Please don't take my comment as negative, just check your own belief system and make SURE that you are only sending POSITIVE messages out.

Send Positive and you get Positive back.
Success and Blessing to you,

Grammie

Thanks Tami for your comments.
Let me know when you are coming out to
BIG SKY COUNTRY. We could have coffee/tea
at mall! You sound like a kindred-spirit!
See my profile and let me know.

AND, YES, the principles I've learned are being
reinforced. I believe that SOGR really clarifies
it for me!

Again, I emphasize that SOGR reinforces many of the things that I have learned over the years,
but IT CLARIFIES THEM and brings them together
in a way that ZINGS for me!
Some of the quotes (Here's A Quote)
I'm putting in the "It's All
Relative" section of these posts are
examples of some things I've learned in the past, and now have been given reinforcement through [B]SOGR[/B.

Hello Grammie and welcome too

Your revelations can only inspire others to gain much more than they had before.

I really never did much about self improvement books/courses. Because I felt I knew what I wanted.

Burt, that was far away from the truth, because even if you wish to get rich and are not doing things in a 'certain way' yu will never get rich.

Something in me wanted to know more and I was brought to SOGR by the 'Father'. I may sound a tad religious but I am not. It is separate from it.

So, keep on G Big Grin

Thank you Mr Magic for your kind comments.

Keep looking to the 'Father' whether you sound religious or not! It doesn't matter how you sound! It doesn't matter what any of the rest of us think about how you sound, dear friend. The important thing is what you believe and what you desire. Your desire brought you here. I believe it was for a reason. Remember....LIFE (God, Father, Infinite) is seeking full expression in you. That's what caused that
"something in me [that} wanted to know more" and brought you to SOGR.

Blessings and Success,

Grammie
