I'm having trouble with the faith aspects.

Some of the posts I read on the forum seem almost too religious to me.
All these “miracles” happening to others and especially their conclusion on why they occurred.

I guess its up to all of us to choose what to believe and create our own truth from that.

I think I'm responsible for and in control of my future, but somehow can't totally rule out the factor of chance, coincidence, or result of for me unknown cause and effect. And although I can't always tell which is which, I'm trying to be greatful for all good, and see things for the miracles that they really are. And I'm trying to take actions so I'm not ruled by circumstances or bad habits.

But I'm having trouble to accept the fundamentals in this book, the law of attraction, the thinking stuff, etc. Not that it doesn't make sense at all to me, I just seem to lack faith in this. Some part of me wants to believe it and the other part wants scientific proof. I don't want to argue upon the matter I'm just learning this stuff. But I would like to ask if there is some scientific approach to this law of attraction?

I understand that my view is limited so I will go on testing this in real life, having fun with it and see how things turns out. I might even expect success I do have some belief in myself but not so sure about principle.

I cannot tell you the number of times I had to work the first three steps of A.A. because I kept getting stuck on the God part.

Eventually, I learned that there really IS a power greater than myself, greater than I can get my mind around, and much bigger than the four walls of any church.

Are you able to make a distinction between spirituality and religion? You can develop your spiritual self without subscribing to a religion. The fact that many of the SOGR concepts are framed in a religious context may be because that's one of the few environments in which the development of spiritual vocabulary is socially acceptable.

We are free to define God any way we choose, Mr. P. Find a power source and plug in.

Sorry matey you won't get anywhere hovering about wondering. Wally says you must accept what he says do it to the letter and it works.
If at the end you do exactly what you are told and it does not work you will have a basis for discussion.
Most people pop in do a bit choose all the easy things play around a bit and then proclaim TOLD YOU IT DOESN'T WORK.
All I can say is that I am not religious but I know that there is a greater being that is in total control. It actually wants you to have everything you want in life, the book tells us the correct way to communicate. Once I learned how to ask my life turned upside down, money came from everywhere and the pleasure of helping others was great.
Give it a go and who knows I might bump into you on my desert island.

DO it by faith for 30 days you will see that what the rest of us see....A change for the better in your life....
each of us will could tell a story about how it's helped...relax with this,for once in your life trust something

If you want proof that it works, that can easily be accomplished.

It's just a matter of looking around you and observing what you've manifested up to this point. Once you've done that, examine, truly examine your beliefs about what has come to you and you will have your proof.

If your beliefs are not in alignment with what you currently want, change your beliefs about the matter and then watch for the subtle changes.

I think a lot of people get caught up in the "faith" aspect of this process. It almost feels like "wishing" and wishing will always be just that, wishing.

However, if you view faith as an exercise to keep focused on what you want, it might help you to get over this hump.

I hope this helps.

Even though there is only one process, there's usually only one way of hearing it that resonates for the person asking about the process.

So keep asking and I guarantee you the answers will come.

Yes. guess I have to change my point of view to be in line with SOGR, and take the fundamental statements upon faith, as stated in the book.

30 days seems like a good start, following it to the letter. We're already plugged in to this power source aren't we so who knows where we end up, desert islands and wherenot.

I know exactly where you are coming from. I too am more scientific in nature and less religious. What helped me understand in scientific terms was the work of Dr. Robert Anthony whom Rebecca referred me to. "A Portrait of a Person Connected to the Field of Intention" everything about the way I THINK and ASK has changed.I refer back to this chapter constantly as it reinforces the SOGR principles in a way that is realistic and obtainable for me.

Maybe it will answer your question on why some people say and act in a way that has eluded you so far.

Thanks very much Holly for the link to Dr. Dyers' site and the Power of Intention; it was just what I needed to get rid of the doubt that has started to rear its ugly head within the last few days. I had read his book last year and have also watched his PBS show several times; but I had forgotten about it. Thanks again - I am grateful.

There is a great Scientific explanation to all of this. It is explained in detail on a download Rebecca posted in our emails a month ago. There was a $1.00 download of a site which was called "Know how to be Rich" by Dr Robert Anthony. I found this very interesting and it helped me no end. I have since listened to about 5 of his downloads and found them to be extremly good. I know we are not suppose to listen or read anything else until we have finished the SOGR course but I found this helped me to continue on and only made my faith stronger. So it can't have been too bad.
The first download is $1.00 but the full course is more. if you can listen to the 1st download it may clear things up a little for you.

But keep Faith, persistance and certainty that if you keep on with this you will succeed. In fact you have already succeeded you just need to be open to recieving it.
