Hi ALL

From reading the book, what i so far understand is that we need to get an imagine, impress it into our subconscious and to hold it in our minds all day long

is this correct so far?

The part on action im stuck with because what if we fear the action or dont know the action to take or merely procrastinate?

Thanks

Not quite, Adam. I don't know anyone who can hold any particular thought all day long. And thre's no need to either.

Have you checked out The Science of Getting Rich for Practical Geniuses? It's designed especially to answer questions like yours.

Love & blessings, and, of course--
EXPECT Success!

Welcome to the SOGR family Adam!

I would say we need to get a true CMI of your heart's desires, and impress it onto the formless by contemplating it on your free time as frequently as we like.

But like Rebecca says, no one can keep one single thought throughout the whole day, so play around with it, make sure it is truly what your heart desires. It becomes easier and easier as you slowly define what it is you want. And once you have it down, you just need to refer back to it and it should give you this easy, fun, uplifting feeling whenever you need that extra "boost".

And about the action part, I think you are referring to it as 'work'. Because you mentioned that there is a fear, procrastination and not knowing what actions to take. It reminded me of how Wally states it, he calls it 'inspired action.' To me that is way more 'fun' than 'work.' When it is inspired, it is not 'work' anymore.

For example, let's say you are overweight (don't be offended if you are or not, it is only for illustrating purposes only) and you just cannot take a pass on all the tasty food out there. It seems like a lot of hard work to me if you have to force yourself to not have a burger by forcing yourself to eat healthy and to go to the gym. On the other hand, if you were inspired by, let's say a beautiful girl that you would like to know and you are inspired to lose the weight, then going to the gym and eating healthy might actually be fun instead of work. So action is only action until we give it the reasons why we want/should/need to take that action. When it is inspired, action is fun. When it is some action you'd have to take, such as going to your job in the morning, then it is work.

I hope I've made it clear and have not confused you some more. Smile

Have a great day now, be good to yourself and remember to take baby steps!

As well, I would like to Congratulate you on making your way onto here. The SOGR is truly a blessing and I wished everyone I know reads it and implements the principles into their lives. But from experience, one would not make it here unless one is ready, so I wanted to congratulate you for making it this far!

Welcome Adam!

It's great to have you on the forum.

I also highly recommend the The Science of Getting Rich for Practical Geniuses. It helps to deepen your understanding of the book and to apply it directly to your life.

Also, as you look around the forum, you'll see that many of the same questions come up again and again. It's worth browsing a bit (or use the search function) to see what's been written about your questions in the past.

Of course there are always plenty of people who are very happy to respond to all your questions regardless. Sometimes we think that our situation is different and we wonder if advice given to others will really apply to us. So, go ahead and ask!

Enjoy the journey!

Love and blessings,
Rachel

Wallace Wattles says "You cannot retain a true and clear vision of wealth if you are constantly turning your attention to opposing pictures, whether they be external or imaginary."

Particulary in the beginning of this SOGR journey, due to habit, my thoughts automatically went to what I did not want. They went to appearances and then I didn't feel good.

One of the ways I am practicing to do the above (what WW says) is to just focus on my CMI as often as I can. It is easier! and more effective than trying to always notice my thoughts and then trying to NOT think those thoughts...

I feel good (Phil)* when I think about my CMI. So now I go there as often as possible.

*For those of you who are new to the Forum, Phil is our resident phil good (I mean feel good) guy.

Hi Adam,

You'd make yourself go crazy trying to think about it all day long. I think it's virtually impossible. Besides there are so many wonderful senses that will cross our path.

Once we develop the joy around our CMI and impress it on our mind we go about our day living, being and doing everything successfully to the best of our ability and we easily refer back to our CMI when we feel ourselves get off track.

Appreciation from the Heart,

Richard De Haven
