Hi all,

I do not keep count anymore how many times I keep re-reading, but I have a question on CMI again.

All of a sudden it hit me tonight that I tried to nail my CMI down, to basically the business I want to do and the money amount I want to earn each month.

What I relized tonight is that maybe the CMI should not be on the money. See I came up with the money amount as it would buy me the material things I want.

So I do not think it is a case of well if "I have this I can get that"

I wonder also if my money amount is not enough to cover all the things I want to do! Is that a conflict?

So the main question is should we focus on the money amount or all the things? Like I said in the beginning I tried to keep my CMI "smaller" in content not quality to keep more focused.

I have learned the difference between thought and thought with visualization, and then with Desire it is a process.

And I have to say hopefully I am learning patience!

Hi Steve!

To be honest, your story DOES sound a bit like 'when I get this, I will be able to get/do/be that'.

And that's fine. In fact it's GREAT! It shows you might have a good idea of what it is that you truly want.

When I found out what I really, really wanted, I could zero in on that which made my CMI much more FUN to 'live' (in my mind).

The AHA-moment that I had, was that I actually was after the FEELING that these 'things' bring me. And of course that is what Rebecca and others have been telling us many, many times ...

So, if you focus on what you want and imagine you already have it, do you feel EXCITED, ENTHUSIASTIC and all JOYFUL? If you do, you are on the right track.

Seems like you are focusing on something you don't want there, right? It's not a conflict in itself. If you think like this enough it will definitely bring you ... a lack of money to cover all things!

It's like you are in a restaurant and you are talking out loud when the waiter is approaching your table. You are saying to yourself: "Well, after last week's horrible experience here, I'm definitely not going to order the chicken..."
You wait for the waiter to come to your table, but instead you see him smile to you and turn back to the kitchen. Guess what? 20 Minutes later he brings you .. the chicken! When the waiter approached the table he heard you say "... order the chicken"!

Of course I'm just kidding here (and I don't have anything against chicken...), but I'm sure you know where I'm going with this.

The universe seems to operate in a way that it brings us what we think about the most and/or with the strongest emotion. Somehow it doesn't take the "I don't wants" into consideration.

Instead of a lack of money, I'm sure you want something else, right? So in that sense, it is definitely a conflict.

I would suggest focusing on the things that you DO want and enjoy the wonderful feelings that go with that. If you do, amazing possibilities to take Inspired Action will cross your path!

That is a conflict, thats why you should forget about the money and focus on what you want. It may not be the right amount. Its very restrictive to put a money amount on something because it can make you tend to focus on the lack instead of the desire. I've done it myself plenty of times. Instead of focusing on the great feeling of paying my bills and having an empty intray, I've thought "well I need this much to pay", which in turn has lead to "well I don't have that yet and I don't know when I'll get that and what a pain bills are, bla bla" Or I think, "It'll cost $600 to reroof the patio", than I'll get $600 but will have to spend the money on a bill thats just come in. Obviously very conflicting and not very constructive. Things have an amazing way of showing up regardless of the money when you just focus on what you desire.

There has been a lot of discussion on this topic lately and there was a great reply by Rebecca about how the price or the money is artificial because its not the money your in love with, its what the money can get you. A new house, a new boat, a new back patio and an empty intray! It may cost more or less than what you thought, but that doesn't matter because it was never the money you wanted, you want the idea of the freedom and fun it brings you.
You just have to know what you want and why and leave the details to the formless. Feel the joy of it as allready here and stand back and get out of the way for its arrival. Trying to figure out how your going to get something only meddles in the process and slows it down.

I use to have a dollar amount I wanted to earn every month but I've gotten rid of it and am just focusing on my desires as I know all my needs will be more than met and that feels great! A few years back I thought to myself that I just needed to earn an extra $100 a week and I would be right. Well I did start earning exactly that and it wasn't enough so don't be afraid to think big!

Hi Steve, you got some good answers from Lucky and Shannon.
I want to add one thing: If you focus only on money to buy you what you want, you exclude all other possibilities to get what you want!

I live in Greece, and from my house I have view to the sea, where often in the summer I'll see the yacht of shipping billionaire Latsis. Charles and Camilla, the ex king of Greece and ex president Bush are amoung the rich celebreties who regularly borrow the yacht for a cruise around the Greek island. Borrow. Not buy. Nor rent. When Mary married prince Fredrik of Denmark, Danish billionaire Maersk lent them his private jet to take them on their honeymoon after the wedding celebrations.
My point is, that your CMI might include cruising on a yacht or fly your own private jet, but you don't necessarily need to own it for that to happen!

From what I understand from SOGR, your job is to create the business you love and more than fill your place in the job you do, and leave the rest to Universe/the Substance/God.

You have given me alot to think about and I as continue to read the book this answer was coming to me. That is what is great about this board is that we are not alone when doing this.

Again I just thought it would be easier to think of the money, so I can keep clearer focus on clear mental image, then my whole life.

However when I think of the things that I want I get more excitement!

Also I am trying to "push" these things to happen faster and that is not good.

I need to have the Faith that this is all happening right now and be ready to receive!
