It is essential, however, that your purpose should harmonize with the purpose that is in all. You must want real life, not mere pleasure or sensual gratification. Life is the performance of function, and the individual really lives only when he performs every function physical, mental, and spiritual of which he is capable, without excess in any.

I am grateful that I am here.

I invite all of you to talk about purpose.
PG members and general SORG practitioner all invited. Even to the Grand Poobah.

Please tell me what you think about "harmonize with the purpose that is in all".

Talk about "performance of functions".

What you say about "You must want real life, not mere pleasure or sensual gratification."

And what is this - "without excess in any"

When I'm really thinking & acting in the 'certain way',...more life to all & less to none, I know I'm in harmony withe the Universe because it gives me a feeling of absolute peace & joy.

I know When I'm not in harmony because all the signs of competitive thinking (Fear, worry, anxiety, etc.) surface!

I choose to go wit the flow!

Thank you Jan,

So you mean - Fear, worry, anxiety, etc. are the symptoms of competitive plane.
So when will see we are in those states we should stop and cultivate gratitude.

What a great explanation. Thank you.

Will you please explain how you go with the flow.

I am grateful to be here.

Your purpose should harmonize with the purpose that is in all which is more life. Obviously, if your purpose is to net as much money as you possibly can, you are out of harmony. I believe everybody showed up on this planet with a unique talent and purpose that they are meant to express. Once the true purpose is discovered, I think you'll find that it will always be in harmony with the source.

You must want real life and not mere pleasure or sensual gratification. Real life is a state of oneness with God. A state of unconditional love for all people, places, and things in your life. Of course, a state of unwavering gratitude. Enjoying the moment because it is perfect and exactly where you belong right now. Pleasure and sensual gratification are fine but are typically fleeting. They should be considered side-effects of living on purpose and not the main goal. A child may quickly tire of a new toy and begin playing with the box and then move on to something else. If pleasure and gratification are your main goal, you will quickly become bored and will be in a constant state of looking for the greener grass on the other side and wondering what the hell is wrong with you.

Without excess? I believe this implies a state of balance or equilibrium. I forget who said it, but I once read a quote something like this, "The ultimate goal of every organism is to achieve a state of equilibrium." This is a state of balance and harmony with whatever environment the organism is currently in and the environment may change, of course. Excess in one area of physical, mental, or spiritual takes you away from equilibrium and then all three areas suffer. How do you know when or if you're in a state of balance? You will express love, abundance, and gratitude no matter what environment you are currently in.

As Walley states, all living organisms (notice I did not say beings) are entitled to free and unincumbered growth and total expression of self. To lack in any function of expression, be it physical, spiritual, mental, is to be out of balance. Purpose, for me, is to have full expression of all these states for as such, I am exulting "God on High". Through living my life to the fullest, and accepting that all God's creatures have the same right, with less to none, I am rejoicing in His love. God/Creator/Universe, whatever you call the higher power, wants to see his work, his creations, his miracles - and how this is brought forth is thru us. When we realize that the desire of the Creator for more life is the same as the one we all have inherently within us, our faith becomes invincible.

...is that driving force to action. It is the connection to others, too. If my purpose is to increase my business, shouldn't the product be of benefit to the people. I would think so. In this way my purpose helps others, and this action gives more than in cash value received.

What I have gathered from SOGR, all these factors must work together.
