Hello, Everyone!

I haven't been here as often as I would like, but it's because I have been busy starting my own business. I know how important it is for us all to hear success stories, because it shows us that anything is possible.

You may recall that a few weeks ago I was offered a buyout package from the company I was working for. I had been quite unhappy there, so it was indeed a blessing. This has allowed me to take the time to decide what I really want.

I have always wanted my own business so I set out to do some research to decide on what type of business. After exhaustive researching, I have decided on a winemaking shop. I am very excited about my new venture!

There were some 'obstacles' (or what some may perceive to be obstacles) to figure out. Of course, of one them was money. I already had a location in mind, so I visualized the shop constantly. I saw where I would put the furniture and shelving, in fact how the entire shop would be layed out. I pictured happy customers coming into my shop and a busy, successful venture.

Since DECIDING on pursing this, I have noticed things starting to happen:

1. I sold a rental property that I had in one day for the exact amount I asked for.

2. I had offers from 2 people to invest in my business for 11,000.

3. I found out that my pension from my former company is going to be paid out to me in full for $13,500. This was unexpected, as it is usually held in some type of invested for retirement.

Folks, this stuff works! Just DECIDE on what you want and don't ever doubt it will happen. It will happen. Sometimes in ways we don't expect, but that's the beauty of it.

I will keep you posted on my new shop. I am hoping to be open by May 1st.

Cheers!
Debbie

Thank you so much everyone for your kind words. It's so wonderful to be a part of such a positive community.

Steve, as for the "secret" you asked about, I'll give you a hint - I used all capital letters on the "secret" word in my original post.

Yes, that's right - I DECIDED what I wanted. I have found in the past that once I have truly decided what I want, the rest just seems to fall into place. You all know, of course, there is no "secret".

Belief, no matter what, is the key. As Wally says, “And to think what you want to think is to think TRUTH, regardless of appearances.”

I don't know who this quote came from, but I think of it often, "The Universe conspires to bring us what we ask for."

Cheers!
Debbie

Debbie,

Congratulations and it is true ~ the Universe DOES conspire to give us what we ask for! So we need to remember to ask!

Your story is such a wonderful example of what it is that we are learning and practicing here. Thank you for sharing it with us! It is fabulous to see it in action, working for you and being yet another example of success!

I can't wait to hear what happens next! And don't forget to put your web-address for the shop in your signature so we can check it out once you're good to go!

All the best,
Dawn

Last Monday this happened to me in a very small but significant way. I saw the locksmith using an instrument that I needed very badly. My eyes - my mind - my mouth, I need to have one of those! And as I was opening my mouth again, intending to enquire where I could get one, he said, here you go, have this one.

Ask and you shall receive. I saw what I wanted to have, and my mind had no doubt whatsoever that I would get it. And God gave it to me sooner and easier than I expected to receive. Thank you Lord!

Caroline

PS Asking is fun, maybe I should do this more often Big Grin
