Hi everyone! I'm new here and I'd like to share the teachings of Abraham-Hicks with anyone who is attracting this info. This comes from
www.abraham-hicks.com

Peace!
Steve Ski
--------------------------------------------------

Abraham-Hicks' Teachings In Brief:

You are a Physical Extension of that which is Non-physical.

All-That-Is, or God, is not finished and waiting for you to catch up. You are the leading edge of thought, here seeking more: more of all that feels good to you, more of that which is fresh and gloriously uplifting. (You are, in essence, bringing heaven to earth.)

You are here in this body because you chose to be here.

You wanted the opportunity to experience this delicious contrast in time and space, and with great anticipation you came to co-create with other joy-seeking beings, to fine-tune the process of deliberate thought. (What, where, when and with whom are your choices, too.)

The basis of your life is Freedom; the purpose of your life is Joy.

You are free to choose to discover new avenues for joy. In your joy you will grow, and in your joyous growth you will add to the growth experience of All-That-Is. (However, you are also free to choose bondage or pain.)

You are a creator; you create with your every thought.

You often create by default, for you are getting what you are giving your attention to wanted or unwanted but you know by how it feels if what you are getting (creating) is what you are wanting or if it is not what you are wanting. (Where is your attention focused?)

Anything that you can imagine is yours to be or do or have.

As you ask yourself why you want it, the essence of your desire is activated, and the Universe begins to bring it to you. The more intense your positive feelings, the faster it is coming to you. (It is as easy to create a castle as a button.)

You are choosing your creations as you are choosing your thoughts.

Your loving, Inner Being offers guidance in the form of emotion. Entertain a wanted or unwanted thought and you feel a wanted or unwanted emotion. Choose to change the thought and you've changed the emotion and the creation. (Make more choices in every day.)

The Universe adores you; for it knows your broadest intentions.

You have come to earth with great intentions, and the Universe constantly guides you on your chosen path. When you are feeling good, you are, in that moment, allowing more of that which you have intended from your broader perspective. (You are Spirit Incarnate.)

Relax into your natural Well-being. All is well. (Really it is!)

The essence of all that you appreciate is constantly flowing into your reality. As you find more things to appreciate, your state of appreciation opens more avenues to more to feel appreciation for. (As you think you vibrate. As you vibrate you attract.)

You are a creator of thoughtways on your unique path of joy.

No one can limit where you can direct your thought. There are no limits to your joyous journeys to experience. On the path to your happiness you will discover all that you want to be or do or have. (Allowing others their experiences allows you yours.)

Actions to be taken and money to be exchanged are by-products of your focus on joy.

On your deliberately joyous journey your actions will be inspired, your resources will be abundant and you will know by the way you feel that you are fulfilling your reason for life. (Most have this one backwards, therefore most feel little joy in their actions or their possessions.)

You may appropriately depart your body without illness or pain.

You need not attract illness or pain as an excuse to leave. Your natural state coming, remaining or leaving is that of health and of Well-being. (You are free to choose otherwise.)

You can not die; you are Everlasting Life.
In grace, you may choose to relax and allow your gentle transition back into your Non-physical state of pure, positive Energy. Your natural state is that of Foreverness. (Have fun with all of this. Lighten up! You can't get it wrong.)

P.S. It is not necessary for even one other person to understand the Laws of the Universe or the processes that we are offering here in order for you to have a wonderful, happy, productive Life Experience for you are the attractor of your experience. Just you!

Hi All and Susha,

To be sure, the "teachings in brief" were verbatum taken from the A-H website!
Nevertheless, it was good of Ski-Steve to post it, and thanks for sharing the website.

In the end it does not matter WHO said WHAT ( copyrighted or not), but rather how we APPLY the universal truth of any of it!

Blessings

How exciting for me to visit the forum for the FIRST time tonight and be greeted with a 3-hour-old message from a fellow Abraham-Hicks traveler!!! Wattles must have talked to them before Esther, don't you think? The greatest challenge--but a beautiful one--is REFUSING to see appearances as reality, seeing instead the phenomenal abundance that is ours for the simple "price" of turning over all our fears. Dear Rich Forum members,

It has been a pleasure for me to read different kinds of ideas. I never knew that internet forums could be so useful and informative.

I have previously written about things other than the SOGR for a very important reason. And that is because these topics completely go hand in hand with both the book and the Practical Geniuses course.

After almost being done with Rebecca's lessons I found that for me, the most important and key topic is about our uniqueness. You might wonder (if you have read some of my other postings), why is this guy talking about that same thing again?

The answer is simple, I have been given a talent to see and recognize human potential and individuality, what makes each individual unique!

A couple of weeks ago I pointed out to Rebecca and the whole forum, that Phil, was constantly getting off topic and not following the rules by advertising a number of unrelated websites. She immediately refused my comments by overriding the rules that she had established herself. Not to get off topic and Not to post website addresses on the body of the messages (ONLY acceptable on the Username area). My point being, that is fine! She is entitled to change the rules as many times as she wants. Maybe she doesn't have strength in the area of Consistency/Fairness, in other words, that's one of her weaknesses.

So, there is not need to worry about her or anybody's weaknesses. That's what we are here for, to contribute our unique strengths. In other words, no matter what, I am not going to change and stop pointing out when I see that other is clearly not abiding by the rules.

Just for the curious, my top 5 talents, what I have the most potential to develop and make my strengths are:

M A X I M I Z E R
People strong in the Maximizer theme focus on strengths as a way to stimulate personal and group excellence. They seek to transform something strong into something superb.

A D A P T A B I L I T Y
People strong in the Adaptability theme prefer to "go with the flow." They tend to be "now" people who take things as they come and discover the future one day at a time.

I N D I V I D U A L I Z A T I O N
People strong in the Individualization theme are intrigued with the unique qualities of each person. They have a gift for figuring out how people who are different can work together productively.

C O N S I S T E N C Y
(formerly Fairness) People strong in the Consistency theme are keenly aware of the need to treat people the same. They try to treat everyone in the world with consistency by setting up clear rules and adhering to them.

C O N N E C T E D N E S S
People strong in the Connectedness theme have faith in the links between all things. They believe there are few coincidences and that almost every event has a reason.

I know that if each and everyone of us in this forum would find out their strengths (out of 34 possible), then, our individual creative processes would flourish even more rapidly.

Thank you all for the several dozens of e-mails I get everyday asking me about how to discover your true potential in life.

I feel blessed to be included in this amazing SOGR forum. I am grateful to have so many people attracted to me and my ideas. And I want to respond to Steve Ski's message when I suggested he'd follow Rebecca's recommendation to take the Internet Marketing 5 Pillars course:

quote:
Sorry if you feel people lack the will to
read long copy... You should have read the entire site in less than 30 seconds if photo reading was half as good as it's been made out to be. Too bad that it's just a waste of time and money for most people... Good theory but poor results in reality. I bet that you could really improve your site by learning how to write good sales copy. Pre-selling may get them there but only good copywriting content will get them to vote with their dollars.

Tell me if you don't sense negativism and a competitive attitude from these words. Better yet, go and visit his site and tell me if you can honestly read throught it all without feeling compelled to press the Back button (instead of scrolling down and seeing that he is trying to get $47.00 from you). Yes, I have to add more content to it, but I am taking my time, I am doing it creatively, NO RUSH here!

Yes, I do not have the willpower to read through it all. Sorry, I wasn't born that way. My power and Authority comes from my gut. Maybe it would be a good idea to check out your Human Design chart and see where does your power comes from.

I leave you with this. I will try my best to make future message less extensive, but this time I felt like I had to respond this way, my own way.

More Abundance for All,
Ricarte

Ricarte,

I learn more from Phil's post than your postings.

I prefer to see Phil's post than yours.

So leave Phil and Rebecca alone.

Hello all!
I read this forum everyday. I thoroughly enjoy it and learn much from it. All of us are on the same journey, more life to all and less to none.

Steve, great post. I am familiar with Abraham-Hicks and have learned much from it. I first heard about it here on this forum and I'm very glad i did. All of you SOGR members have taught me a lot. I like it here because, it is like a Family! We support and nuture each other as a family would.
Ricarte, I welocme you here to our "home." Now it is also your "home." If I may contribute something to this dialog. I sense from your posts that you have an intense desire to succeed in whatever area you choose. From reading your posts I have no doubt that you will accomplish whatever you put your mind to, but for your sake, if I were you, I'd ignore any post or posts that you don't like. If you don't like Phil's posts, just ignore them. If you don't like anything here, don't get all upset and tied up in rules, etc. Take from this forum what you can use. Post what you feel you have to say that may benefit others, but don't waste your energy and focus on the "little" things. Remember, what you focus on expands. Harmony is extremely important! You have many gifts. You can go far. Concentrate on these things. Again, take what you can use. Leave what you think others may find useful. In German they "Leben und Leben Lassen." "Live and let live."
Just my 2 cents. God bless all of you!
Bill

Hi all and a special welcome to our new members!

Anything that contributes to our spiritual growth and healing is "on the subject" in my opinion.

I would hate it if folks on this forum stopped sharing their experiences with different teachings.

I have gained so much from the sharing of these specific resources and I share them with my family.

Often, a concept needs to be worded in a certain way before someone really "gets" it. I have repeatedly had the experience of reading or hearing the same basic spiritual concept over and over in different ways before the big light bulb has come on. (or maybe I wasn't receptive until that moment).

Whoever shared the "Effortless Prosperity" website(I think it was Phil) thank you so much. It has had a powerful impact on me and my husband(he has never done Rebecca's lessons even though he was enrolled- he did read the book, however)who is taking responsibility for creating what he doesn't want in his life for the first time ever! And of course seeing the big picture of that realization.
Bijan's words help and ring true for me too.

Have a prosperous day!

Hello SOGR family,

Please, accept my apologies if I offended any of you with any of my postings. Thanks to all who encourage me to continue being myself! All your e-mails mean a lot to me. Red Face

Let me make clear that I never said I did not learn anything from Phil's, Rebecca's, or Steve Ski's posts. I just wanted to follow the experiment that Mr. Wattles spoke about in the book the SOGR. Confused

I will certainly try my best not to point out any more issues concerning the established rules of this forum.

Love and Abundance to All,
Ricarte

Hi All ,
Ricarte; WHAT ARE YOU ON ABOUT?

Pointing out so-called weakness is a curious business. The Law of Reflectivity (the mirror-effect) always works: "What you see in another, that you see in yourself".
Ditto for pointing out strengths.

The point is not to point!... or not to judge and just to accept. Acceptance can only be done in the Attitude of Gratitude, lesson no. 1 for all of us, I suspect.

Besides, what is a perceived weakness from one point of view, may well be a great strength from another! We, on this physical plane, are simply not in the position to judge!

I would therefore argue for not just finding out our strengths, but on finding out what we consider to be a weakness. I would argue that our soul puts us often in circumstances where we can find out what we can do about those "weaknesses", with the sole (soul's) purpose to "choose again", and make a better choice.

Robert Kyosaki, of Rich Dad/Poor Dad fame, offers a great example: he could not write very well, so he wrote a bestseller...he was poor in accountancy, so he invented a Money Game that teaches people about accountancy and investment.

Brian Tracey is another: he was told he could not write good advertising copy. So, he decided to find out everything he could about copy writing, and became a very successful copy writer and discovered "The Psychology of Acievement" in the process.

Also, let us not underestimate the power of our thoughts and their effect on the Formless Substance.

We do not have neutral thoughts.Everything we see is the result of our thoughts, without exception.Thoughts are not powerful or weak, big or little. They are merely true or false. Both make their own likeness. Wally talks about this in terms of " truth and appeances ".

This is deep stuff, but - as serious students of SOGR- we need to be mindful of it, if we are to become conscious (co-)creators.

Meanwhile, on the subject of the forum, I am as grateful for your contributions as I was of Phil's
( Phil, where are you?). In fact, "controversial" postings are usually either the ones with a hidden Truth in them, or pointing to the hidden Truth in ourselves.
As the Master said: he who has eyes, let then see; he who has ears, let them hear!

Blessings to all.

Ben Smile

What follows here is, of course, just my opinion and nothing more or less. As always, anyone reading it can accept or reject it as s/he sees fit.

You know, when I first started doing this work, I let my feelings get hurt when anyone criticized me or what I was doing. That was just my small self jumping to the fore. Now, I'm happy to say, I can usually just get curious about what is said and not feel that stab to the heart that used to happen. (I tell you, it's an amazing and wonderful thing NOT to take it all so personally any more.)

But that may not be true for others -- yet. It takes time and commitment to get there. So I'd like to see this forum NOT be a place where anyone feels s/he needs to point out what s/he perceives as another's weakness.

I just really don't see the point. And I don't see that any of us has been asked by others to do that -- so no one here (me included) really has the standing to judge others' actions. Even if the criticism offered up is "true," truth without compassion can be a form of cruelty. One rule I try to follow for myself is this:

If any form of criticism is necessary and appropriate (such as an employer with an employee, a parent with a child, etc.), then it is ALWAYS better done PRIVATELY.

Praise, on the other hand, is best served up in public!

That good old "Golden Rule" (Remember Golden Rule Jones?) Wink is as useful as ever here!

So let me just clarify -- once and for all, I hope! Wink -- those forum posting guidelines (and I'll have this added to them up top):

The "no advertising" rule does not mean you can't ever mention another book, site, etc. that you have found helpful in understanding and implementing what you learn in SOGR. It simply means that you may not come to this forum and post something that adds NO value to the discussion as camouflage for an ad for your own biz opp, product, etc. That's spam and it happens all the time on many discussion boards. It kills the usefulness of many.

The guideline about staying "on topic" likewise doesn't mean you can't bring in ideas that relate to the principles in the book. In fact, that's pretty much essential to a lively discussion. It's immensely useful to me and countless others to be exposed to ideas and ways of seeing that we might not otherwise have come up with ourselves.

If you do bring up other sources, it'll be very helpful if you mention how it harmonizes with SOGR, rather than just touting it with no particular reason why. How does it strengthen or clarify what we learn in SOGR?

(In the forum under this one, the one especially for people taking the Practical GeniusesTM course, participants do NOT bring in other sources because we've all agreed up front that for the duration of the course, we'll focus ONLY on the book and the course.)

Basically, let's just be aware of our own tendency to slide into competitive mind so that we can NOTICE it and choose not to go there. As this is a public forum, not a private conversation, I'll ask you to consider my own personal guideline up above and implement it here:

Praise and encourage and assist and support each other all you want right here. And don't forget to ASK for praise, encouragement, assistance, and support!

And if after careful consideration (and stepping back for a bit so that you're not just being run by small self/ego and immediate emotional reaction) you feel that you can offer someone useful "guidance," please do it gently and privately via email. Better yet, ask them first (via private email) if you may offer an observation or insight. Or contact me that same way and let me know what's bothering you.

Like I said, this is all just my way of thinking and seeing the situation. And this vision is the one I hold for this forum and ALL the wonderful, unique and uniquely VALUABLE people participating in it. It's the kind of world I choose to live in!

Thank you!

Many blessings, and, of course--
EXPECT Success!
Rebecca

Hi everyone,

That was a nice reply Rebecca! In tune with nature I would say... We should all learn from such examples...

Ricarte: You are right in some stuff you mention. That steve is advertising his site and selling"...." for $47 is true...Unfair to the forum I would say...

Phil: Keep it up!!!Like I always told you. You are great and your feedbacks etc...are good for all of us. Again, keep it up!!!

To everyone else: All the best and all success!!!We will all make it.

An even more valuable book by Lynn Grabhorn is... "The Excuse Me, Your Life Is Waiting PLAYBOOK" With the 12 Tenets of Awakening.
ISBN 1-57174-270-0

The PLAYBOOK not only takes the reader well beyond the basic ground rules of deliberate creation, as laid out in EXCUSE ME, but does so in a uniquely entertaining manner.

While the PLAYBOOK holds within its unusual pages many more ideas and techniques than presented in Excuse Me, Your Life Is Waiting, it also holds a myriad of keys to enhance one's spiritual path, should any awakening soul be so inclined to accept them.

I want to thank everyone for sharing your feelings on this post both good and not so nice. I am grateful that I am allowed to share some very good things with you all!

Dear SOGR family,

Just activated all the information I Photoread about Hicks. Thanks God that I have been given the opportunity to be myself and speak out my voice. Re-lax, re-lax, re-lax, and Discuss The book, The Science of Getting Rich, Here!

I have actually memorized it word by word. However, some people don't believe about the immense power of the mind.

Someone once said that when he did not have problems he would go to his room and kneel down to pray God don't you trust me anymore? Problems are opportunities for us to grow and discover creative ways to solve them.

Problems make us stronger, it means that instead of having a jelly spine we develop an iron one! Remember my friend down here in school earth life is full of many lessons and the sooner we learn them the sooner we get read of them.

Refuse to talk about your problems, abstain from talking in a negative way, find good in everything, hate nothing, and soon you will discover that everything your hands touches turns into gold.

I too have been given many lessons to learn, but I am becoming an expert in learning them fast to get read of them as soon as possible.

Finally I pray this prayer every day and it goes like this "Oh, that you would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that your hand would be with me, and that you would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain! That my distress will cease" so God granted him what he requested.

Many blessings to you and yours
