Update:

The company turned down my request for an appointment and the other agent said right now it looks like we cant do anything together.

Well I will just be thankful for what I have and work with what ive got until something better comes along.

So, if I were in your shoes, I might ask, "What's good about this? Why might this be a good thing? Might this be a stepping stone or detour to 'Something Even Better'?"
